Update: 5/14/2024 We replaced L21 with the correct component. Eric saved the day. Thank you. kzbin.infoUgkxHL8Q3bn86Fr4ROddAwxm7yr788X-KsMI Few pointed out that the broken trace is L21. while that is true, the value of the component is unknow and this likely being EMI filter, replacing with a direct wire will not have a noticable effect considering the size of the component. If you know the value of the inductor, feel free to share it, otherwise it won't make a difference

Yea i had noticed L21. its likely a filter inductor.. i have a feeling something shorted the output.. and it acted as a fuse.

Alex, that is conformal coating on the board. I sent you a bottle of conformal coating remover from MG chemicals last year.

I love watching you because you remind me of my dad. He didn't just repair PCB's, he designed, etched & assembled something from out of his head. He made so many things that would blow your mind, like a digital keypad door lock from just parts (not a kit), for his dark room, back in 1969. He made a digital clock from nothing but spare parts. It was because of him that I mastered all skill trades by the time I was 42 & retired confidently. In the 60's there was no internet or cell phones, but he was still connected to all over the planet via Ham Radio & he did have a cell phone, a hand held Ham that connected to land lines to anywhere there was a phone line (for free).

I think that was a fusible trace that blew up if thats the case then there could be a problem with the board or there was a huge load on it like stuck propeller that caused it.

That component was supposed to be an inductor, but I don't think a straight up wire would honestly cause any issues in a solenoid firing circuit.
