The reason fried is cheaper than grilled is because often the fried chicken is frozen, alreay breaded chicken that takes less time to prepare, (because they just have to put it in the fryer) and was probably cheaper to buy in bulk than the fresh chicken

It cost more for a grilled chicken because it takes more time to cook. Yes there's more ingredients in fried chicken but it usually comes frozen and only takes a few minutes to cook in a fryer, 7 minutes tops. Grilled chicken on the other hand takes about 10-15 minutes and even longer if it's not thawed out first.

You can also cook a lot of chicken in the same oil. If you're doing 100s of chicken breasts, nuggets, etc it's way easier to fry. If you're doing one it's easier to grill. Of course places like McDonald's need to do hundreds so frying is more efficient. That being said, I've never seen a price difference between fried and grilled in my entire life and I always get chicken sandwiches everywhere I go. Not that I don't believe there might be somewhere that does it. I just don't think it's a big issue or anything. Biggest argument I would see is grilled dollar menu items often don't exist. Ex. No grilled Junior Chicken.

I do mine with that same bun in the first one,and i airfry the chicken patties,then i toast the bread,then i put mayo,chik fil a sauce and sweet baby rays classic bbq sauce,and i add shredded cheese at the end,and right there you have a perfect chicken sandwich❤
