That turned out great! I use hardwax oils on most of the things I build for that closer to wood finish but mainly because they are so easy to maintain. It seems an odd finish for R&B to use though as I think most people just want a finish that lasts. You sure rehabilitated it though it looks great!

Room and Bored really ought to consult with you on the finishes used on their furniture. Yours is fly (as fly as the DAshner remix).
@aethertech22 сағат бұрын
I wish Room and Board wasn't the only place I could go to for good wooden furniture. But sadly, that's all that seems to be left in the Twin Cities. I went to Gabberts, and it's the same stuff I could get at Schniedermans, just 2-3x the price. And most of it particle board with veneer, or just plastic.
@aethertech22 сағат бұрын
Aslo, that is a really nice set of drawers.

Hi, The pieces look beautiful. The color and simplicity of the design are wonderful. The brass knobs are really cool. They have a certain mid- century modern look to them. I have not seen you or other shows work on a bed frame. What was the price of the nightstand at the store you visited? Thanks

On a round piece with a crack like that, have you ever used one of those frame clamps? I wonder if it would work for something that small in diameter

@katydidiy16 сағат бұрын
Cool outro! But that restoration is an improvement over the original! If you sell the set, you should get a very good price, considering what that company gets for their stuff. Outrageous in fact. What bugs me is that someone laid out all that cash just to neglect to even use a coaster. Wow, just wow!

This set looks gorgeous now. 😍 I wonder if Odie's Wood Butter would have been a good option too. I watch Angie on Transcend Furniture Gallery too, and I think she might have gone that way instead. Either way, it's a beautiful result that's likely to last longer now.

As he said an oil/wax finish isn't very durable. Guessing just years of wiping the surfaces off to clean it worn the finish down. IMHO
