Crazy thing about Frieza is that it's always implied he's THE GUY in the universe. Problem was that he never took his true potential seriously, and it causes him to bite more than he can chew. Even with Golden Frieza & True Golden Frieza, could he really call that training? It was a few months, and did the rest mentally. Now we got a Frieza who took his power serious for *10 YEARS.* Possibly more than ANY ONE trained for in other world, or the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Before he was more bratty & spoiled, and couldn't accept defeat. *HERE* it's like looking at a completely new Frieza. SPARING the saiyans? Enjoying the thrill? Happily asking random people to join them? Frieza must have came to terms with a lot of things during those 10 years, to become the man he is now. Which is why I love and hope we see more of that come next arc.

I can see a few possible things happening moving forward. 1) I can see Frieza trying to go to U6 to kill their sayians and turns into a war with U7 Saiyan's at the forefront. 2) Gohan will have to fullfil his promise to Frieza, during the ToP he told Frieza he'd take end him himself, which would result in Gohan once again being the strongest. (Personally this is what I'm hoping for) 3) Goku and Broly reunite and end up needing to Fuse to win.

My hope for the future of Dragon Ball is this. The main cast doesn't interact with Frieza for at least an arc. Hold Frieza over their heads as some nightmare what if scenario. I had my questions about the Granola arc being all about some nobodies wishing for power our heroes worked so hard to gain, but to flip it on its head with the most evil person of all coming to terms with hard work and destroying everyone friend and foe all at once was a great writing choice. It also leaves his true motivation up in the air. Is he so strong that no amount of effort on behalf of the Z fighters can ever reach him? Has he overcome his petty vendetta against Goku? Is this is one good deed brought about from some petty sense of honor over Goku following through on his promise in the survival tournament? I think it's a mix of it all. Recall that Frieza doesn't just want to be ruler of the universe, but ruler of EVERYTHING. He said so himself in the tournament that he'd overthrow Zeno himself one day. He was not at all shocked or annoyed when Goku achieved UI, and happily brought Broly over to fight him, even pushing him to give the Saiyans a better fight. I think in the end, Frieza's plan is to push the saiyans as hard as possible to ultimately have a measuring stick between him and the higher gods. Having Frieza grow as a VILLAIN rather than turn into a hero would be a brilliant idea. Going from an easily enraged, insecure child to a Machiavellian schemer and confident emperor of evil is great. It does something DB hasn't done in a long time, it makes the VILLAIN a more interesting person to defeat. It poses the question of if a training arc or a new form can even hope to grow to this dark new level. I'm stoked on it.

Beast Gohan should be the one to defeat Black Frieza, since Gohan has been confirmed to canonically by the creator be the one with the highest skill ceiling potential. If Gohan actually trained in this new form, he could probably achieve a form higher than Beast and be able to actually go toe to toe with Black Frieza.

Would say Frieza's time in the afterlife and the reality of the higher realms has tempered his ambitions somewhat. He is still evil, however his role seems to be more similar to the likes of Baal from SG1 where he ends up being the lesser of two evils. It is possible his power-up along with Gohan and Piccolo's means they become fodder for the next's arc's antagonists and benchmarks for Goku and Vegeta to grow stronger.

I mean this is dragon ball super. Even someone as evil as frieza needs to be toned down. Remember one thing dragonball super excels at is to give massive and obvious plot armot to goku. Sometimes is not even funny but it happens quite constantly. Dont be surprised if by next arc goku unlocks mastered U.I at the level of whis and beats black frieza. That is how DBS works. I will enjoy black frieza run, but I really dont have any high expectations. They really need to make Frieza go ahead and kill gods of destruction from different universe, learn hakai from them and what not. THAT would be a n interesting story. The reality: Goku faces frieza, Goku is getting beaten, gets his new power up out of nowhere, frieza gets overpowered and dies.

Well, actually Beerus was surpassed by Goku since ToP arc, canonically. We even had Jiren, a mortal stronger than Gds of destrution there, who was overpowered by Goku too. But the way the manga works, now that they wrote this never mentioned before 'state of G-ds of destruction', he can eventually become stronger than them, in battle, too, which wasn't what they showed us in the past. In need, Beerus used an incomplete ultra instinct to fight several G-ds and that was his only ace under the hand. But now that they realized SSB2 (I know fans call it "evolution", IDC, it's not official, it hasn't being called that in manga anime or videogames, same as "mystic" Gohan hasn't being called that, never) will never be competition to Goku's perfected UI, they decided to give him another "personal form". This manga arc has a lot of rewriting actually. They even nerfed Perfect Ultra instinct, (which an arc before, was the invencible cheat of DB, allowing Goku to surpass anyone with a superior power level, and showing that if a stronger character gets it, he just gets tied with Goku, meaning it was like the top power a warrior can get), to saying is not really perfect, cause othe characters have bettered UIs... And showing that stronger characters can still overpower the UI... I understand the need to nerf Goku and give Vegeta a power buff, since this serie is all about improving, getting stronger, fighting opponents stronger than you, but rewriting is still rewriting.

I think you're underestimating what we have in Super, we aren't just restricted to U7 to tell stories and to get strong people from to challenge Goku and Vegeta, there are other universes out there with things to do and things to see. 4 of which we literally know nothing about it shouldn't be that hard to come up with new villains or conflicts. Even if it was, Heroes is right there with so many ideas they could flesh out. The Time Patrol, Supreme Kai Of Time, Fu, Demigra, Xeno Goku and Vegeta etc, if they brought those in we would have something much bigger than anything we've seen before and much bigger than whatever they could do with Black Frieza.

While I do agree, I feel if it doesn't involve Goku then the viewership would fall tremendously. Most of those stories would probably just be "Villain with big number being taken out by someone with bigger number" all over again but this time without the rascal we grew up with: Goku. And technically, there should still be plenty of things to do in U7 by itself. The universe is vast, but Dragon Ball keeps shrinking the playroom they can have by always giving us absolutes.

Hold on. I wanna talk about this intro. Goku and vegeta haven't been the strongest after supers arcs. Beerus was stronger than them both after his arc, golden frieza was debatably stronger(but his transformation was too costly on him). Vegeta lost to hit and goku technically lost to hit. Then you had the merged zamasu arc where they got ragdolled until vegito and xeno showed up and then jiren was stronger than everyone for a majority of the tournement of power. Goku couldn't even rely on MUI which was the only thing that overpowered jiren(minus the goku,17 and frieza combo beating a tired jiren). Broly was just too strong for them separated. Plain and simple. Goku and vegeta have been some of the strongest for sure but their last villian most of the time at the end of the arc was still stronger than them, either combined or on their own. I like goku and vegeta and all but they've had their powers overshadowed by a bunch of characters.

In my opinion he's gained the mentality of a martial artist. Between The physical gains in strength having an effect on his mentality, Goku and Vegeta being actual warriors who train every day pushing Frieza constantly forcing him to be less sensitive to loss, and not only training his body but also his mind. I love this Black Frieza storyline. He's the best dragonball villain and the fact he's gone from a meme of dying over and over to utilizing his potential to become the biggest threat ever. Dragonball is big on villains becoming good. I like that Frieza stays a villain while still going through character development. Though he is evil, he likes to fight, and he wants both the satisfaction of crushing Goku and Vegeta but also wants them to be a threat so he can be the best he can be. I'd be fine with Frieza destroying Beerus in a shocking conclusion to a fight.

I mean, the idea itself is okay it just doesn't make much sense to me logically. Like for instance take Zeno, he's not the brightest to say the least, quite silly at times. That could help your theory meaning Whis and the rest of the angels would be his consciousness or whatever. Still, I don't see why the creator of all things would rather throw his intelligence into other beings and remain somewhat silly, Zeno to me is much more of that being that has all the power, he actually doesn't know how to fight because he doesn't need to, he raises his hands and anything ceases to exist, so the way to keep him "in check" is to play along with his childishness. Anyway, honestly the angels didn't die on the TOP simply because they were assigned to train the Gods of Destruction and have them be able to protect their universe, so it's really not their deal at the tournament, Whis trained Beerus, he did his job you know.

Broly is also a protegy. Definitely can see him scaling far past Goku and Vegeta and being the one who has to deal with Frieza. He was matched SSG Goku/Vegeta in Base with very minimal training with what his father was able to offer. If he scales up like Frieza, he's probably going to be the only one who can go toe to toe with him. SSGSS Broly sounds absolutely terifying.

Idk if we'll ever get a Broly that has control of his power. It's possible that Broly becomes a character like the Hulk. You really overestimate how little death means in DBZ. If Freeza killed Goku and Vegeta, nothing would have changed. They would just have been returned to life in some way. I mean god damn they can be brought back with several different sets of dragonballs or just Whiz hitting them on their head. Zeno can revive Goku from erasure, there's nothing that Freeza can do that would put him on Zenos radar. Zamasu killed all of the kais and therefore the Gods. Zeno didn't care until he saw how nasty he looked. Most likely Freeza let them live because he finds them amusing.

Thinking about it, Uub was born with even higher power than Frieza. This could mean that the next arc would be post Z where Frieza is causing trouble and needs to be stopped very quickly so they need someone to overpower him ASAP and their hope would be Uub as he can be trained to become a lot stronger a lot quicker than Goku and Vegeta (same way it happened with Frieza)
