Vegeta has the single best story in Dragonball. Going from evil killer, to helping the people he hated to fight a bigger threat, to training hard to combat a rival, to falling in love and having a family and fighting for them, to accepting he needed to train for himself, to finally pushing himself in a direction separate from Goku and finding his greatest power. He really should get a win against a major villain. Now let's see how he will fair against BLACK FRIEZA.

I know that it was lazy and bad writing, but my head cannon has always been this: I've always thought that to become a super saiyan, a Saiyan has to first be at a certain level of power in their base form. And I think Cabba and the other universe 6 saiyans achieved SSJ faster is because they were already incredibly strong in their base form. I think it wouldn't be a stretch to say that base Caulifla was stronger than Goku during the Namek arc, hence she was able to push out SSJ faster.

I love this line up of transformations in terms of goku and vegeta. You have ultra instinct, which basically avoids all damage to the best of its ability, while providing pinpoint deadly counter attacks, and then you have ultra ego, which grows in power, all while taking the damage head on. Its like theyre polar opposites of eachother

From a skill usage point and a martial arts point though...UE would get demolished by UI every single time. UI is all about those pinpoint critical damage counters. UE requires him to take the damage and keep going, but UI's pinpoint damage would reduce his ability to use that power he would otherwise gain. Then look at the words used. Ego and Instinct. Ego requires thought, so to use his power to it's fullest he has to be constantly thinking of his next action. Instinct is just that, acting without thinking. This means Goku will always be faster than Vegeta, always be capable of coming back from attacks. You can drill and train so that your fighting form becomes like instinct, but for a form to be called Ego means he has to maintain his mental control over his actions and NOT instinctually react to things. Thinking speed can not be increased, you will always remain at the speed of thought you have now. Martial artists increase this time by making certain reactions instinctual ones. Vegeta will not be able to rely on this method. So his power will increase, and his ability to take damage will increase, but in all honesty his speed will not be on par. In a fight, speed reigns king every time.

You missed something I think is kinda crucial. SSG is actually the first time Vegeta decides to sorta go his own way by forgoing the ritual and achieving it by doing what he used to mock. Pure training. It's not on the same level as his decision during the ToP or when he achieves UE, but it's still a large step forward for him.

I don’t think Ultra Ego or Ultra Instinct will be their final forms because I think eventually Goku will master UI like the angels and then he’ll merge other forms with it, and although UE is a unique thing and it can’t be said whether or not he can merge another form with it I think he’ll find a way to push it

thing with that is each form is supposed to the pinnacle. MUI is the pinnacle of martial arts, the perfect blend of power and defence which presumably grows in power with the person or can be trained to improve it. mixing another form with it doesn't make sense in the same way Gohan mixing super saiyan forms after having his potential unlocked wouldn't have made sense - just doesn't need to do and it would be a waste of stamina. UE is limitless in it's power, a bottomless well of energy. the only way it'd make any sense for it to get any stronger is either if Vegeta becomes a god of destruction or finds a way to truly master and harness the unlimited power UE has.

I think the next step is to make SS4 canon, and merge it with UE and UI. Maybe even during their attempts to harness the two forms, they decide to embrace their saiyan heritage, taking a page from broly’s book and forging their (possibly) final forms. Ultra Saiyan Instinct & Ultra Saiyan Ego I don’t think Broly would get his own form past where he is, because his form is literally called Super Saiyan Full Power, or Super Broly Full Power. Which to me means, as he grows stronger, the form is just his full power at a constant level. Like when Frieza went full power but it drained his stamina and eventually power, but instead it doesn’t have that draw back.

I find it interesting when people consider Vegeta the winner of the Goku Majin Vegeta fight. That fight was a draw at best. Goku and Vegeta had agreed to postpone the fight; the fight was considered on pause when Vegeta knocked Goku out from behind. I have to contend with the argument that Vegeta has beaten Goku 3 for 3. Goku pushed Vegeta in their first fight and pretty much one 3 out of 5 battles on earth. Vegeta was forced to go Great Ape and where he crushed Goku's body, it really wasn't him, but Kaioken that put Goku down. Take the others away and Vegeta kills Goku unless they pull a Gotcha Piccolo! moment. The Second fight, he tricked Goku in order to be the one who wins against Buu. Even Vegeta didn't think he won that fight, a fight that could have ended in a second had Goku chosen. This new one on planet Beerus... I don't care much for, but I give it to Vegeta only because he was able to push Goku down. Not punch, push. Not much of a win, but ok.

Ultra ego is easily the worst and most pointless transformation EVER... It's not a God of Destruction form and it doesn't even incorporate Hakai energy in any way other than turning Vegetas hair purple (for some odd reason 🤷‍♂️) All the form does is make Vegeta an undetermined amount stronger while he's taking damage... I think that transition wise it would've been better to give Gohan super Saiyan 3 instead of beast imo. Orange piccolo is fine but I think it would be cooler for piccolo to simply be a strong namekian. But with Vegeta and Goku this symbolizes Vegas new mindset. Instead of fighting only to become stronger than Goku he fights to be as strong as Goku, and now with ultra ego Vegeta's new mindset is to be the only one that can rival goku

Mystic Form was said to be stronger than SSJ3. To be specific, it isn't just the Mystic form "making Gohan stronger than a SSJ3 Goku" but specifically that "Mystic Form is stronger than SSJ3," which is why Gohan was stronger. On top of being the inferior form, it also eats at your ki (or something like that). We've seen it with Goku and Gotenks, and was reminded about it again when Goku was explaining the form to Kale and Caulifla (or Kelfa). The same guy that has two forms that are both stronger and grant him *godhood* of sorts. Other than that I like what you said. I think that simply achieving SSJG would AT MOST make him UI level but idk if that would make a difference in the cell max fight since they wanked the f out of beast form.
