I'm kinda sad that in DBS they went with "oh it only lasts 1h if you're not a god" when instead they should've gone with "Wait how did we separate last time we used Potara? Oh! That's right! Buu's digestive system infused with magic powers can separate energy and matter so we can use it to separate after the fight!" which would've been really clever from them. There could've also been an arc where after fusing and ending the fight Vegito would have an existential/pride crisis and refused to separate forcing other Z fighters (and possibly gods too) to fight him in an attempt to save Goku and Vegeta. It would've been the perfect solution to the power creep problem of the DB series where a new even stronger enemies can't really exist in the universe. Too bad that this was just foreshadowing Zen's power and the problem was solved by the tournament of power...

I present you the writing skills by the Toei staff xD It's really a shame they purposely decide everytime to make DB less complex and rather decide for retcons because it's more convenient than follow the lore/continuity. You may really love or really hate hearing this (Or not care either way) but that actually sounds like the plot of an episode of Steven Universe. Two characters fuse together but as one of them is really reckless and the other is extremely stubborn and pretty damn strong, once they fuse they enjoy existing as this new ludicrously powerful entity together with no restraint so much that they refuse to separate and have to have it beaten out of them. In a different episode, two other characters fuse and have a whole episode of extremely complex feelings as the fused character is their own identity that loves existing and their components love being together, but they hate the fact that they can't hang out separately if they're fused in the same body, making them feel oddly alone. Then there's a separate character altogether that's a permanent fusion that, again, likes living as their own entity as she doesn't exactly exist if her components separate, and those components, unlike Goku and Vegeta, really really like being together so it works for everybody. Really, Steven Universe actually expanded on the fusion concept of Dragon Ball Z in some fun ways and even references it a lot like with them having fusion dances to do it, which makes sense as a lot of the crew (except the creator oddly enough) watched Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z a lot, including the creators boyfriend who was also working on the show with her.

To be fair, Vegito has exaggerated personality traits from both Goku and Vegeta. He's incredibly arrogant and short-tempered. However, what we've seen of his personality was only while he was fighting Super Buu, so it could have all been an act to make him angry and unfocused in battle. I don’t exactly remember where i read this so don’t quote me, but i believe vegito is a perfect fusion. With goku and vegeta being rivals and essentially equals, vegito got a perfect mix of their natures. This is why you can hear both of their voices when he talks. As appose to gotanks where it’s pretty much just trunks with extra power (i know it’s a different kind of fusion but i think the logic still applies)

I love Multiverse. So many interesting what-if stories. My favorites gotta be the "Kakorotto" story of Goku(again) never turning good, and completes his mission to kill all humans. But this Goku is very interesting because he seems to regret his actions of killing his only friend back then, Krillin. This Goku is also VERY mentally unstable, constantly hitting himself on the head to stay focused, muttering to him self which leads to him yelling at him self.
