Although he never acknowledges it, he was enamored by Osho and wanted to accumulate rich and educated followers like Osho. All his knowledge of hindu scriptures, buddhist philosophies, stories come from Osho. How can you tell if one student copied from another? If both have the same right answer, they can claim that they read the same notes or text book, but when they both write the same wrong answer, you immediately know one copied from another. Osho has told many stories where he has combined many real stories to make a unique false story just to prove some point. Sadhguru without knowing that Osho has said incorrect things in his story, repeats them in his discourses. He repackages other things as well. You are not the body, You are not the mind is from aparokshanubhuthi, commentaries by shankaracharya on upanishads, etc. He says he has no guru and that he came up with techniques taught at Isha as his own. Big fat lie. He was a student/volunteer at SSY (Sahaja Shrishti Yoga) in hyderabad under his guru Rishi Prabhakar. He was an ambitious man, who sought power through spirituality. He read extensively books of osho and started using them in his own discourses, which he still does. His guru Rishi Prabhakar sent him to open a branch of SSY in coimbatore, but Jaggi soon saw an oppurtunity and opened his own yoga center and called it Isha. He repackaged and renamed all techniques he learned from Rishi Prabhakar as his own.
