I spent some time in the amazon of Peru to partake in ayahuasca ceremonies with powerful shamans. This plant medicine (ayahuasca vine + chacruna) along with psychedelic integration has helped me overcome many mental illness disorders which catapulted me towards a path of self discovery and genuine growth. If you feel called to aya, then I would definitely recommend drinking it in a ceremonial context with a legitimate shaman. This will help contain your experience and keep you safe, rather than doing it by yourself. Just my 2 cents.
Love you guys, I'll catch you soon.

@@playdoug12 Please bear in mind that this is second-hand information. I've not personally experienced it, I have read as many accounts as I can find. Reconciliation of past trauma. Awareness of unhealthy lifestyle habits. Freedom from addiction in a few cases. I do still recommend doing as much of your own research before you decide to do it. Above all, when the time comes, respect the medicine. Many accounts that I have found of the voyager coming out of the experience with the opposite effect have come from a lack of respect for the medicine. I hope my ramblings are of some use to you.

2200$ per week. Jesus. There are great shamans all around the world that will provide guidance and the medicine itself for 30$~ (edit, I meant 80$). At least you can find that kind of people here in Costa Rica. Not shaming this place, there must be a reason behind those prices, just saying that if you guys don't have the resources, then there are always more accessible options to have that life-changing experience

The most important lesson I learned from your channel was from a video a couple years ago where you came to a conclusion through your own journey that psychedelics aren't the only answer. There is work to be done while sober. It opened my mind to the misconception of psychedelics in the new wave community of being tools for mind expansion when in fact, they also have the potential for quite the opposite effect, as I had found, yet I would beat myself up about it for a loong time. That insight of yours what what I needed, during a time when I would watch all these channels talkig about the beauties that these substances offer and brushing any negatives to one side in the name of being "that psychedelic guy" Thanks dude, really helped me through some tough times. I hope to experience 5meoDMT at some point when I am ready for it, but I am no longer in any sort of rush. Going at my own pace now x

I don’t get why these retreats have to cost soo much. With the flight it represents 3 months of a full time job salary of a person here in europe (which is one of the richest areas on earth).and the retreat is always in Peru or Mexico where the actual cost of life is not high. These retreats are incredibly elitist. (This has nothing to do with your work tom (which i really like).

Aggelos Balaskas personally I was very serious when I started my journey with ayahuasca and did not spend a penny, because eventually it came by itself in my life. And I was lucky because of this.It could serve as a filter for the masses that is true. But just because our society puts money as value for knowledge. And the masses have to link money to determination. Historically shamans were accepting only donations before the spiritual business started. Then of course now that we live in a capitalistic society few people would donate because their mind is shaped as customers. Excactly as it is a gift from Mother Nature the ceremonies should go out of the 2000dollars bill idea.

@stefanofresch 4 жыл бұрын

Aggelos Balaskas I don’t know man maybe we are talking from different economic status point of view, I wish these retreats would be more accessibles, from a normal style of life here in Europe it would represent a whole year or hard work and savings. My vision of plant medicines stays out of elite business like this ans is more about an egalitarian view and no profit realities. Then I am sure the retreat is awesome, full of comodities and good thing. It is just too far away from my wallet capabilities.:) peace

Being a Latin American i feel that even with the luxury accommodations, the good food and the tours it's just TOO expensive, maybe because its 1st world focused, or maybe it's all worth it, and $2'200 a week it's not that expensive for some people.

I tried ayahuasca once, but I only experienced strong sedation ( I fell asleep at the peak of effects) accompanied by strong OEV and identical CEV, it didn't matter if I closed my eyes, I could still see my surroundings as if my eyes were open. There were very few mental effects, I was completely occupied with looking around until I fell asleep. I wouldn't call it ego death, but I was certainly disconnected from anything I couldn't see at the moment. I guess this is the most atypical ayahuasca experience that you could find on the internet :D

Had a friend do this, he spent his time shitting himself and vomiting everywhere, while lost in another dimension.

Man I wish I could go. Unfortunately l am still paying off from my last ceremony, but this would’ve been a great experience, especially with respectable youtubers, and powerful shamans

Thank you 🙏🏼 From beyond my soul and mere 42yrs of “life”, i need this and Jagger been asking the universe for the opportunity. Financially it’s very difficult and the only thing holding me back. If the costs included flights then I’m in! I’ll bring my guitar 🎸 but alas flights are extra 😔
