Hike from Kandersteg to Oeschinensee - An unforgettable day in the Swiss Alps!
Early in the morning, I began my hike at Kandersteg train station and headed to the Oeschinen valley station. After a short gondola ride to the mountain station, I started my ascent toward Heuberg. The trail meandered through scenic paths to Oberbärgli, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Oeschinensee and the surrounding mountain scenery in all its glory.
From Oberbärgli, I descended to the lakeshore and continued to the Berghaus Berghotel. Covering approximately 9 km with 510 meters of ascent and descent, the hike took around 3.5 hours. The route was varied and full of stunning vistas - the sight of Oeschinensee and the surrounding peaks made every step worthwhile. A special highlight was enjoying a meal at the lakeside restaurant.
After a relaxing break by the lake, I returned to the Oeschinen mountain station and took the gondola back to Kandersteg, wrapping up the day in peace.
