Having been to Singapore a few times, it is no surprise that the event was well organized. This year both the Chess Olympiad and World Chess Championship were well organized. These events were polar opposites in terms of number of players participating but both were well done with Budapest taking recycling and efficiency to a whole new level. And in both these events Sagar Shah, Amruta and his Chessbase India team did an incredible job covering not just chess but also the heros behind the scenes and their work that made these events possible. Kudos Sagar, Amruta and Chessbase India team.

Another good interview by CBI. One question however was not asked: what was the total cost of organizing the entire thing (including the ancilliary events)? Perhaps the final bill might have far exceeded the initial U$8.5 that had been the original figure? Maybe Sagar can ask Kevin in an email about this and post the figure here as a pinned comment.
