I like Rego Park area of Queens. It is so convenient with stores from supermarkets to the post office to the malls and you don’t need a car due to the transportation system. I like The Alexander luxury apartments and LeFrak City which is in a very convenient location. 😃

Another lifeline when I lived there was the Key Food that was down the street south of me, they actually delivered which I couldn't believe they even did. Usually I would just lug stuff home, it was only a few blocks at most, but they delivered and it was worth tipping them for it. All before Amazon and real grocery delivery. Got my first DVD player at Circuit City here at the old smaller Rego Center! Was a horrible APEX bomb, but I was so excited to just have a DVD player.

Ah, the good old days of lugging stuff home! These days it's all about the click of a button and voilà, your groceries arrive on your doorstep.

I lived here for about three years from 2000-2003 or so. Things I liked were the shopping is pretty good in Queens Blvd., and near the mall, and the food and stuff on 108th St. was pretty good back then, not sure about now. They had a good diner then too there. Loved Avellino's Pizza, went there all the time. Very convenient for the subway etc. but I had to walk a good ways to get to it from 63rd Drive and 102nd St. Some good bagel places around there. Some good Russian Ukrainian and Uzhbek restaurants around there too. Or there used to be. And it's close to Forest Hills, which has the better food and shopping. A lot of places from then have closed including that big CompUSA store that was on Queens Blvd near the Best Buy or whatever it is. Forest HIlls once had a good Barnes and Noble but that's gone now too.

It's amazing how much can change in just a few years! But at least you still have great memories of all the spots you used to go to.

Nosy: are you new to KZbin? I was just curious. I'm a regular live walks follower of ActionKid and LizzoC and all of those people, Manny etc.

Hubiera estado bien que mostrara el interior de Rego Park, y asi mostrar sus casas y edificios, y no solo Queens Boulevard.

Are there any place you can hook up or meet girls here?? I recently came to this area and it looks like that's what's Missing?

i live in Rego Park it stinks, 25 minutes to find a parking spot, no good places to eat and it is the noisiest neighborhood in the 5 boros. Fire Trucks, Ambulance, up and down Queens Blvd with their sirens and horns blowing every 20 minutes. Cars racing up and down Queens blvd. Car alarms going off every day and night, barking dogs all the time. This place is a nightmare to live in.
