The blue tiles and cobbled streets of Portugal are famous and iconic features that can be easily explored by wandering through the old town. Stumbling upon famous sights and hidden gems in Lisbon is likely Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara.
Rua de Santa Justa is a popular street in the heart of Lisbon's historic district. The street is named after the iconic Santa Justa Lift, a neo-Gothic structure that stands 45 meters tall.
Write at the end of the street you will see the city's most iconic monuments.
Arco da Rua Augusta is a historic monument located in Lisbon, Portugal. It is a triumphal arch that was built to commemorate kəˈmeməˌrāt/ the rebuilding of the city after the devastating 1755 earthquake and to celebrate Portugal's Golden Age of Discoveries and lead you to Praça do Comércio, a large square in the heart of Lisbon.
From here, you are only a 5-minute ride from Padrão dos Descobrimentos (Monument to Discoveries), another famous monument in Lisbon. The Monument to the Discoveries comprises a group of sculptures representing a small sailing ship constructed by the Portuguese to explore the Atlantic Ocean.
On the left side, on the Tagus River, you see the famous 25 de Abril Bridge is often compared to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco due to its similar design and color scheme.
Write on the other side of the street, behind a beautiful park, you will find Jerónimos Monastery, another UNESCO World Heritage Site in Lisbon.
From here, you can select a mode of transportation from the available list to reach another viewpoint of the city called Miradouro de Santa Luzia. It is located in the Alfama district of Lisbon, and visitors can see the red-tiled rooftops of Alfama and the riverfront from there. It is also a good place to see the famous blue tiles of Portugal.
Fado, a traditional music genre originating in Portugal, is the country's national music. It is characterized by mournful and melancholic melodies, often accompanied by the Portuguese guitar and classical guitar.
Sanctuary of Christ The King is a majestic statue representing the image of Christ outstretching his arms towards the city.
Belem Tower is an imposing medieval defensive tower on the northern bank of the River Tagus and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

We drove back by the Atlantic Ocean and passed by Cascais, a charming coastal town known for its beautiful beaches, historic architecture, and lively cultural scene.
