Deborah thank you , I had to have a space where I want to be .. and a place when others see it , it’s not a bedroom or a chair in a living room . Perhaps I’m just more fortunate😊 I always talk to the editor so that the right viewing matches the performance. Ms Fabian commands the screen ( all of it ) and I guess I’m doing this so I can share my thoughts and I’m not tempted into over exaggerating.. also if you notice , I never use bad language … and with regards to professionalism, It’s just respect to people watching , I’m offering something to watch to maybe offer a view .. I can only do that if I’m being respectful to the artist the song and you 😊👍 thank you it’s so nice to hear your thoughts .. and it helps me stay focused on what I enjoy and that’s sharing my thoughts on songs 😊👍

I can see that being very natural .. I just prefer to be in my office .. I work thier too and I like the idea of “ living room to watch TV , music etc , bedroom has no stimuli I need that .. I guess it’s just horses for courses 😊😎👍

She did write this song. And she was hurt by love in her early career. She’s simply amazing in this concert. I believe when she turns and walks away, it was planned to add dimension to song and allow her to move, and not simply stand still as the music played on without her . We as viewers see the depth of that move as she turns back with hair flowing in dramatic poise. It’s simply genius. And you know everyone in that orchestra had to be in awe of her talent.

Look at her face when she is returning! She is moving on the blame the regret are all gone… there is truly another possible life. This is the way I see this back and forth stage scene, sort of closing a chapter , opening a new one.

Like all artists, I feel Lara's performances are never better when she can closely relate to what she sings. This song "broken vow" is a perfect example. As you read from other comments, this song most likely helped her go through a difficult pass in her life. Lara is a full artist: singing, acting, composing, writing, cooking, entertaining and more. As she likes to mention it, her roots are as much in Italy, Belgium and Quebec. You can feel this when you see her interviews and way of living. So it is this rare combination of talents, personality and of course also beauty, that makes her special to me. This combination hits me deep inside and watch her singing makes me feel good.

The music of Broken Vow was co-composed by Walter Afanassiev and Lara Fabian, inspired by a classic piece of Rachmaninoff (Piano Concerto N°2 in C Minor). Walter Afanassiev, an american/brazilian from russian descent, is a legendary composer and producer (he composed some of the greatest initial hits of Mariah Carey such as All I Want for Christmas is You and was the producer of the Titanic soundtrack that brought Celine Dion to WW fame). He is also now the producer of Dimash for his US career. When this song was composed, Walter and Lara were engaged, but apparently he cheated and she decided to break up. When she took this decision, that she knew would dramatically change both her personal and professional destiny, she wrote these incredible lyrics. Lara has said this is her preferred english song from all the songs she wrote in this language (there are many, and some are pure jewels). One reason is also because this song has then been covered by the greatests: - Barbra Streisand (she performed it in concerts from one of her tour but never recorded it), - Josh Groban (his cover made this song famous in US), - Morissette Amon, - Cakra Khan, - Regine Velasquez, - Almira (from 4th Impact), - Katrina Velarde, - Julie Anne San Jose, - Sarah Geronimo, - Petra Berger, - Harrison Craig, - Rimar, - Jackie Evancho (in AGT), - … Regarding Jackie Evancho, and at the request of Jackie's parents who found the original lyrics were not a good fit for a young girl, Lara rewrote Broken Vow in french as "Imaginer" with a complete different meaning.

Fyi Josh Groban said Lara is a friend, an inspiration and kind of mentor to him. They met when singing a duet for for Steven Spielberg’s movie A.I. (with John Williams as the composer and conductor). Lara also sings this same song “For Always” alone in the soundtrack. Lara and Josh performed several live duets together.
