I was recently in the market for a new vehicle. After considering a few different vehicles, the BMW X5 was at the top of my list so I went and rest drove one. It was nice, but I can’t say I was so impressed that I was ready to purchase it. I discovered that my local genesis dealer had a GV80 Coupe in stock so I went to check it out. I was blown away by it and purchased it. Never considered a Genesis until I saw this vehicle in person and drove it. You have to see it in person to truly appreciate it. I’m sure it will draw many in as it did me. It also incredible tech and warranty. So happy with my choice and loving this vehicle.

Very thorough review. I love my 2022 GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige, but I HATE this move to panoramic screens, Genesis or any brand, deal breaker to me. The new GV80 is beautiful, many subtle improvements, but the panoramic screen kills the deal for me. They are cheaper, not better, placing the instrument cluster and infotainment screens at compromised heights, no glare protection, can be confusing/distracting to the driver, and they look like afterthoughts tacked on, not part of the design. Panoramic screens seem to be an industry trend, I hope Genesis doesn't use them on their entire product line. Looks like the 2026 GV70 will have pano screens, and I won't be buying one.

@@PAB-s1 I haven't touched the screen in ages, between the steering wheels controls and excellent infotainment wheel touching the screen is unnecessary, no need to touch the screen for any function.

The pano screen coming on the 2026 GV70 is precisely the reason why I bought a 2025 GV70 Sport Prestige. I tested a 2025 GV80 with the pano screen and absolutely HATED the display. During our test drive, the low sun streaming in the side windows almost completely washed out the display. When I mentioned it to the sales associate, she shrugged and said "Yeah, I know... the GV70's cluster is soooo much better!"

​​@@PAB-s1I own a 2025 GV70 and can count on one hand how many times I've tapped the display. The dial is easy to use and, because the screen is positioned further away, it's easier (and safer) to see the screen without moving your focus from the road. Besides, a display screen covered with fingerprints absolutely drives me crazy! 😉

An embarrassment that genesis released this without wireless CarPlay, they have been saying since the 2023 model they will provide an update soon to make the gv models wireless. Don’t fall for it. As a luxury car manufacturer , how do you release a modern car that you have to plug a wire into . 30k cars have wireless now

Outrageous prices.. not worth it in once u drive off the lot!! What is wrong with these manufacturers.. they are selling to the rich and wealthy people or leasing. But not to real people! Great to watch the rich and famous vehicles. I will keep my 2005 honda with 295,000 miles. It runs, leaks some oil. But it cost me nothing to own.. no payments and yes i am a normal person 😊 a happy..
