Great review! Finally someone show what they look like outdoor and even when looking up at the sky :) Question, with the screens off, can you walk around and use these outside as regular sunglasses? Or would the prism section obscure your view of the world?

You can see everything with the screen off. But it’s quite a dark tint compared to others. But yes you can see through the prism section.

Don't let cameras fool you they are ment to bring in more light so you can see in dark places. Your eyes will see different.

@@seanrm I can't afford them myself, but I do a lot of research when I'm interested in things. I've seen many reviews of both read clips from different sites. And what it came to was the neo's are for gaming. While xreal is for every day use like going for a walk, playing games, cooking, and more. The neo has too dark of shades to do all of that.

Great review, but how are they compared to Xreal 2 pro ?and doesn't it have a black shade to be totally black ground ? Is the screen still in one place when you move your head ?

It doesn't come with black shade. Also, the reason you get glasses like these is to do stuff while you consume content. But the ray neo's are way to dark. Xreal may be a little worse in screen brightness but ray neo has a weird blur affect. Plus the speakers on Xreal are way better. I mean you could actually tell the difference.

At least wait until 2024 when the screens are 1440p instead of 1080p. For me, I will be waiting till samsung sells their samsung glasses because I'm betting their phones will be like the beam is to the xreal air 2 pro.

I am looking to buy one of these AR glasses for my laptop works. Xreal has Nebula App for pc to be able to use 3 screens. That's their selling points for me, but a lot of their videos look like sponsored. I need qualities comparison videos.

If you work a lot "on the go", the xreal air are really good. Got myself a pair and they are amazing. However, you might struggle a little more than usual to read small text. I found myself having to zoom web pages more than I would like. Right now I'm using them mainly to watch videos/movies or play games.

Laptops and computers will work via Type-C (Display out) but HDMI devices like PS5 will not connect to these natively. You need an adapter to make it work.

I have the original Nreal Air Glasses. Had to get them sent over to Ireland for me as I couldn’t get them anywhere. The cast from phone was fine but nebula never worked for me and I was on an S22 Ultra.. then tried it on a google pixel and was same issue. They are still in their box and I use them rarely

The RayNeo Air 2 seem much better in overall build, clarity, brightness and compatibility. I like that they are simply plug and play, you don't have to use the software, but if you do, it also works very well.

Both brands are good. But I feel the RayNeo Air 2 is better than both Xreal Air and Xreal Air 2. RayNeo Air 2 looks better design and produce better clarity and brightness. Even the Smartphone app is better. However, The XREAL Air 2 Pro has that Electrochromic Dimming levels, which you don't get in the standard XREAL Air 2 and the price of XREAL AIR 2 pro is too expensive. So that means the RayNeo Air 2 is the best XR glasses you can currently buy, offering good value and excellent overall experience.

Don't make a mistake. The ray neo's have a big blur affect, and it's a known issue. The speakers are worse than xreal, and you can tell the difference. They don't come with a cover case, black out piece, manual dimming, and more. The xreal may have less of a brightness but not enough to be like damn I'm missing out. The xreal are known to be better with different system ui's. besides Apple, but that's something you should look up if you have an Apple phone. There is a reason why the neo's are cheaper. But in the end, it would be best to wait for now because right now, they are more of a beta model than anything.
