Visit Scarborough's Castle, Railway & Park and experience the magic! This beautiful park features Scarborough's Castle, a beautiful Victorian-style castle, the North Bay Railway, and beautiful Peaseholm Park.
Get out and enjoy the sunshine in Scarborough! This park has something for everyone, and it's a great place to spend a day with family or friends. If you're looking for a day trip, this is the park for you!
Starting at Scarborough Castle, then exploring North Bay area including the Scarborough North Bay Railway, Mr Marvels abandoned amusement park, Peaseholm Park and the Naval Warfare battle which has been running for around 100 years in the summer.
We explore Scarborough North Bay Area in this second of two part video from out visit to Scarborough on the August bank holiday 2023 as part of a campervan trip with the North Yorkshire Centre of the Caravan and Motorhome Club who hosted a rally as the Scarborough Rugby Union Football Club on the outskirts of Scarborough.
While we’re there we visit the site of the old Aquarium and Gala Land, take a ride on two funicular cliff lifts. Have a wander past the Spa and learn about how Scarborough became famous for the spas healing properties. We also learn about the Grand Hotel and take a number of walks around Scarborough.

Lovely video brings back so many memories. The naval battle was so exiting when I was young. The elsan point at the north bay seems like a welcome to motorhomes. Good news .

Really enjoyed your Vlog from Scarborough. It’s a place we have never been to. Very interested to hear of your childhood memories of the theme park and cable car. Thank you - it was nice making it as it brought back memories from younger days. It was a little different going up in the chair lift - imagine modern health and safety would need a different design now but I remember the experience. The train journey was good fun and enjoyed the war ships in the park, that's been running for over 100 years. What a great vlog, brings back so many memories when we took the kids when they were little. Its changed quiet a bit - sad to see some things just wasted away like the cable car and the old amusement park. That squirrel got pretty close. The castle looked really nice to. Looks like you all had a great time and a bargain for the bank holiday.

Thanks very much. That was a great vlog. I had actually forgotten about Marineland, as, like you, I was single digits age when I went there. I'm sure that was where I first saw dolphins. On reflection, IIRC, they didnt have a massive area to swim so it's probably better they're gone. I just loved the naval warfare battles as a kid, and was so excited by them. It made me roll my eyes that the story acted out was made more anonymous in recent times to make it nore acceptable to European audiences. I distinctly remember HMS Jervis Bay being sunk by Adniral Scheer and the subsequent revenge sinking by RN ships. But still, times move on. Happy memories now its been jogged.Many, many thanks 😄

Thank you - yes was a lovely weekend - I think they have had problems with ‘beepers’ going past overnight so sure everyone isn’t totally happy but nice they put in some facilities to help. @@LeisureBit I know, my late Father was the vicar of St James' church at the junction of Valley Rd/Seamer Rd until 1996 - We used to walk down Valley Rd every weekend for fun on the beach and thing. There was also the a Sweet shop in Falsgrave run by one Mr Khan, a wonderful Indian man who always remembered your favourite sweets and then opposite was a butcher's shop (who we used to have the butcher look after our pet rabbit if we went away...dubious idea I know)
