Hoi Vincent, lang geleden dat ik gereageerd heb. Misschien herken je dat wel: druk, druk, druk. Vandaar nu dan weer heel erg bedankt voor deze mooie video waarvan ik genoten heb. Deze route heb ik in het grijze verleden heel wat keertjes bereden met mijn ouders. In mijn kindertijd dus. Je reed dan meestal met mat '46, '54 en ook heel veel mat '64. Wat een goede herinneringen heb ik hieraan. IJsje halen bij de patatkraam aan de Wijkamplaan, kijken met mijn vader naar de voorbijkomende treinen...

This was an enjoyable cab-ride. Very relaxing; lots of information; wonderful scenery! Utrecht has "grown" since I was last there, in 1994. I definitely do not remember those glass-monolith buildings to the right of the station! I am more familiar with the Amsterdam Abcoude Utrecht route.

Compared to 1994, nothing is left of what you remembered from then: the station itself, Hoog Caterijne and the buildings around the station have all been totally rebuild. Only some parts of the very typical 70s buildings from then are left.

28:57 dat wissel maakt altijd een vreemd geluid als je er door heen gaat op de upfast, en ik vind het ook best vreemd dat je pas vanaf bilthoven 140 mag en al voor overvecht weer 130 moet gaan rijden. Of dat de wissel bij 27:35 met maar 80 dooreden mag worden. Maakt Utrecht-Amersfoort een heel erg speciale route en ook 1 van mijn favorieten

Hi Vincent. Quite an enjoyable video. It was nice to see Baarn Station from outside and also from platform level. While I’m not a great fan of single-track routes (multiple tracks and passing other trains - other than at stations - are bonus items of interest for me), there were some very nice scenes along this route. I particularly liked the approach to Soestdijk Station. OK, the route wasn’t single-track.

SLT : de weg naar een unieke 😃👍 reis Een singletrack die alle aandacht trekt, net als zijn schoonheid door zijn prachtige kleine stations die zeer goed zijn aangelegd, waardoor sommigen dubbel verkeer kunnen garanderen, maar ook door zijn veiligheid, waar je extra waakzaam moet zijn, terwijl je de borden Signalering 🚦in acht neemt Snelheid is niet te overtreffen, zelfs als je het landschap kunt bewonderen, Bovenal stelt het je in staat om ver te zien van de reflex zonder reactietijd. Gefeliciteerd, met deze geweldige reis, naar het prachtige Nederlandse Spoorwegen, groeten uit Lorient Frédéric in Zuid-Bretagne

Ben vandaag weer naar Utrecht geweest maar door werkzaamheden tussen Den Dolder en Amersfoort Centraal was de dienstregeling aangepast waardoor we op Den Dolder richting Utrecht van het verkeerde spoor vertrokken en met 40 km/h over het middenspoor naar Bilthoven reden 😂 Was echt enorm traag. En op Utrecht Overvecht hadden we al een geplande stop van 3 minuten maar door een vertraagde 5600 richting CS moesten we nog langer wachten. Het voelde wel als "De sloomste sprintertraject" 😂

Permissief. Dit zijn automatische seinen, blokseinen, die aangeven of het blok erachter vrij is. De treindienstleider kan deze niet bedienen.

Thanks for the video! 00:31 What are your thoughts on the RAM mounts for your tablet? I'm considering a similar setup for our Vectrons. Currently, our drivers just place the tablets on the desk in front of them.

Easy to handle and I have never seen one fail. But, you should be able to place them in front of the driver, otherwise they won't be used (like in the SLT in this video). Having to twist your neck in a shaking train to look at your tablet is not OK..

Station Soest kunnen ze wel sluiten met maar 178 passagiers per dag, Soestdijk en Soest Zuid liggen aan beide zijden dichtbij en kunnen die passagiers wel overnemen. En van Baarn tot Den Dolder lijkt het eerder een tram dan een trein met die lage snelheid. Misschien moeten ze de lijn maar ombouwen tot (snel)tramlijn, net zoals in Zoetermeer gebeurd is.

Soest is het enige kruisingsstation aan deze lijn, waar de treinen in beide richtingen elkaar kunnen passeren. Als de trein dan toch moet stoppen, dan net zo goed een station.

I give up. I've been trying to ignore this issue. "... this specific time and day of the week ..." suggests some of that phrase needs definition. Is it time of day within a millisecond, a second, or what. Obviously it is not that narrow a window. Is the window a minute, the five minute margin time, or something a little more. Does it account for the possibility that the train started its run (very) late? I wonder what "specific time" is in train speak? The young lady wrestling with her purse to find her card at Soest leads me to suggest that NS find a way to develop a wave your phone at the kiosk payment method if that is at all possible. Reduced hassle often leads to more customers. And the loooooong wait at Soest suggests that somebody would really have to work hard to make trains late on that line. And the visible gates ahead were still up when the light went green. That's a little surprising. Hm, the vandal who spread his ego all over the hut at Den Dolder should have his ego surgically removed. Scheduled delay - is that specified as 3 minutes or until a specific time? I suspect the latter would make more sense for scheduling concerns. {^_-}

Lots of questions :-) Specific train at that ride at that time of day, and day of the week, also taking into account the temperature (on hot days there is more chance of a delay due to the fact that track expands thus making distance longer). Mostly I am reading and answering comments in the Yt Creator app. Once typing an answer I can no longer scroll through longer comments, stupid design, so I might have missed one of your questions..

Bizar dat je op 14:49 nog een onbewaakte overweg heb zitten, net na P-sein 606. Maar daar staan wel wat hekken. Erger is de onbewaakte overweg op 7:29, net voor sein 1190, daar staan alleen een paar schrikhekjes, je kan daar zo over draven. Levensgevaarlijk.

Is power consumption de bruto waarde minus de teruggeleverde kWh's?

Bij een slt is het bruto, dus je zou daar de teruggeleverde energie van af kunnen trekken. Maar.. die energie wordt alleen verbruikt als er een andere trein in die sectie stroom vraagt. Dus het netto verbruik is niet te bepalen.
