As a JKD practitioner I recently discovered this stickiness in Chi Sao thanks to my Sigung. Your videos have challenged me to learn more about and how to channel this internal energy. Thank you

Fully agree to that sticky hand next level is about how to apply internal energy via mind power control
@peteryeung1967 Жыл бұрын
Is more much more difficulty chisao when the training partner is also apply internal energy stickly hand, the risky part with the training partner apply internal energy and then getting hit, even it is not physical hard, the energy hit get stuck in the body and feels very unpleasant. Here is important to how to be healed and recover from it, since when going to a doctor they can find anything special from the pain.

This is very impressive and eye opening. I experienced almost the same thing from Tsui Sheung Tin lineage. I used to think to stick means to apply forward pressure bit it wasn't. It is mysterious WC converges to similar principles.

That’s nice that you experienced that in the TST lineage 👍

Thanks for the explanation. If im understanding you in an oversimplified way be open to 3d sticking not just pressing forward? Can you show this a student who can give some simular counter play to want you do just to get a more well rounded idea. This is very interesting.

If u could make a video about other engines I would appreciate it. Regarding other kungfu styles and the ones taught in Eternal Spring Institute since so many things are taught in there. Or is just that there's only internal/external and external is brute force and internal is snake engine?

Sticking and sinking is what i struggle with the most when doing Wing Tsun as SOKF. I ended up bracing and its a constant struggle 😅 . Im trying to do more standing and sinking exercises to get better at the internal side. Great explanation again Sifu , i always enjoy watching your videos and learning more about Wing Tsun and the internal side.

Yes, I know this sticking, but there is no big secret about it. It’s a little bit tricky to learn, because of lot of people are stuck in the forward pressure along the centerline. Please tell us when your new book is available.

I have had various occasions to "feel" the freezing sensation you are talking about, but I realized that to learn it takes time, you have to believe in it deeply, and you have to dedicate a lot of your life to this. it's not for everyone. Yes It exists, and it's a wonderful skill, but it's one of the most difficult challenges I've ever known.
@SifuSergioChannel Жыл бұрын
Very true it requires dedication but the results are well worth it

Who was the Sifu/Sifus who taught you this inertial engine? Or momentous/momental engine. If I may call it that since it looks like it allows pushing from mid-air. I don't train much kung fu but on the other hand for the past 8 years I've been doing this buddhism stuff 24/7, I do it even in my sleep. Developing the physical layer comes with it. I've gone through some of these engines during my life. First three decades of my life I used muscular/leaning. Then when I tried to relax I used that sloppyness/fake relaxion - but at least I wasn't like balloon anymore and I didn't gather air inside my lungs when pushing hard. Just lately during this year I've gotten a hang of that real relaxion and action/reaction engine (or traditional groundforce engine). It required detachment from breathing so I can control my torso muscles and breathing separately. It makes delivering the force from the ground by manipulating the force flow possible. Without it the force flow gets stuck. Well, it's always possible I've understood something wrong but mainly it goes like this 🤔

Disclaimer: Im not saying you are talking about nothing.The problem is doing videos of something you admit its not visible. Lets say I do a video of an invisible friend, then I get a contract with metro Golding Meyer to do 10 movies. My invisible friend will not be seen in anynone.

So either we find a way to show or the best attitude is to suspend judgement. If you are really an old school skeptic. They arent many.

@RobertoStarnari Жыл бұрын
I really don't understand why a good martial arts master, at a certain point, feels the need to attribute his skills to something esoteric, not physical, energetic. Is he really in good faith when he talks about non-kinetic energy usable in combat? Why is it not enough for him to teach how to perfect the use of the body to the point of obtaining a huge kinetic effect through an almost inapparent movement? Because this is what is all about, neither more nor less. Of course, talking in esoteric terms about something not accessible to everyone except with a long cultivation path is more attractive. But let's ask ourselves why it works. Suggestible people are needed who not only firmly believe in what the master tells them, but also are not willing to question him. At this point it may also happen that a student in good faith feels his body move in the grip of an "external force" and will never investigate, for example, that phenomenon called ideomotor reflex. Note that in these situations the master always describes what should happen before showing it. Always.

I can assure you that this is something you have not experienced but understand your comment as I was thinking exactly the same just a decade ago. You are welcome to come to the eternal spring institute or one of my seminars and experience first hand

I have trained in martial arts for the last 40 years.....31 years in Ving Tsun....the last 10 years I have spent cultivating internal principles...when touched on correctly it is a little unerving as it tends to go against what we normally perceive as normal power derived from muscle action and leverage theories..
