I started off irritated as usual at the ignorant “tourons” that have no regard or respect for the guards and horses!! Then it turned into one of the most beautiful videos ever!! The young woman in the green skirt, who was terrified of the horse at first, but so wanting to touch him, really touched my heart!! And true to form, the horse sensed her trepidation and was so gentle and kind to her!! I'm horse owner as well . I disagree with your comment about the horse needing to be taught manners. It's my understanding that some of those horses rotate every hour from their stall to the box that tourists see on any given day. Add fools touching them, grabbing the reins and a rider of at least 150 pounds , etc. it's not that they don't have manners - these are ridiculous requirements for both the military and the horses. I understand tourism but they need to mark out a barrier so people can't mess with them.

I'm 50 years old, grew up around horses… I have a great respect for them, and their unique characters. My aunt adopted an x race horse who had been badly treated… he grabbed my aunt and through her across the stable, she had big puffer jacket on, she still has the mark on her arm 10 years later. I always have a great respect for that horse and am very cautious around him. These people are utter muppets.
