I made a great score at ALDI the last two weeks in buying deep canvases in pairs for only AU$3.99 (inc. gst) if I wanted to buy some very large ones they were singles for the same price. Yet to begin, picking up the Elmer Silicone from Bunnings when I feel better. March the 4th 2020 and after heat waves I can’t get my feet warm. Love learning so much whilst bed ridden with my little doggie Louis a Brussels Griffon. He is my reason for getting up (expect for bathroom treks throughout the night ha ha) I still have my sense of humour. My 15yo granson has called me his Crazy Granma since I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on his 12th birthday in October 2016. I am eternally grateful for finding you and other artists on KZbin. This DIP technique is high on my list of techniques to try. I'm planning to use up the Liquitex and Artist Loft paints that I have and then start ordering the Mont Marte range of paints - I can get them on Amazon but I haven't found an art shop here locally that carries them. I have to share a laugh... I just heard you say you were adding "splodges" of black paint onto the canvas. I was talking to my mom last night and she was telling me that she had made home baked pizzas for she and dad with some flatbreads, homemade pasta sauce and that she had added "splodges" of shaved parmesan and mozzarella cheese and then added some fresh torn basil from her herb garden Iher sauce is AMAZING with her Italian herbs and fresh roma tomatoes and elephant garlic, onions and peppers). NOW I know where she got that word!!! :-) See, I told you mom was watching your videos!! These are JUST GORGEOUS and I can't wait to try this...the pastels are so vibrant!!!! Cheers!!!! X ~ Jan

Really love this. Don’t care for the original but the dipped one is gorgeous. Not sure what could be done but I would have loved to see what the water balloon would have done to original. Definitely going to try this method, my other attempts have been disasters.

I’ve had great success with the Mont Mart pre made paints as well. I really love their gold, in fact all those colours are lovely. I have also used your on-line supplier, and it was very good value for money.

mod Podge will turn yellow with time. So will the Elmer's glue. If your doing a piece to sell, and you want your work to still look good 30 years from now, might want to use a lacquer finish over the top. Just sharing that. From my seat over here, your work is so beautiful, that one day your paintings will be worth a good chunk of change . They say an artist is a starving artist, but when we pass, The all want our work and pay millions to get hold of a piece. It's a shame we can't get he million's while we are still here to enjoy spending it. Have a good week end. XX

Really gorgeous Gilly! The colour magician strikes again! They go so well together, so gorgeous! I've been working on ways to put the paint to get a good design with a dip. In fact, I am starting to think we have some type of psychic connection, as it was just yesterday that I was practicing dips with the same paints! Plus I actually write with a black texta on every bottle 'wear gloves!" because I forget nearly every time lol. How strange is that?! But if we did you would know that when I shook the pale blue colour, I mustn't have had the lid on properly because it literally went from one side of my painting room to the other! It left a trail of paint across the floor, over my shelves and on some of my paintings! I eventually found the lid right in the corner of the room. By the time I'd finished cleaning it up my back was hurting so much I gave up on painting for the day lol So silly Gilly, meet silly Suzie! lol 😁💜🐨👍🤗
