Love the rainbow colors. I have a hard time reducing my palette so I don't fight throwing everything in. I like these turned out.

I love your videos because it helps me get ideas for different techniques and color combinations. I tend to use the same colors, designs and marks over and over again.

I'm extremely appreciative of your generosity in sharing your process. As someone who raised children while trying to maintain an art practice I enjoy the mention of yours and the occasional times they are present in the background.

Thank you, Sharron - I appreciate you saying so! ❤️ And yes, “trying to maintain” is the right way to say it for sure! My 6-year-old is home (barely) sick today (after being home from school all week for thanksgiving) and I had so many things I was going to do…. 😬🤦♀️😆 Oh well, maybe tomorrow… 🤷♀️😂❤️

I really enjoyed this video. The large white square at the end would worry me but that’s all about being true to yourself right? Thank you for your encouragement

This was a great idea and taught me a lot. My neo II's are not getting enough love. I'm going to give it a try. I have a cold and therefore, no brain.😅 I love what you said about "having a harder time reacting to it" referencing the one on the right. It really did inhibit the collage effort for a minute. You pushed through, but then switched gears and grabbed more white paint. I'm curious what made you grab the white and put it on both sides, especially the muted down right hand side? You applied it, wiped it off, applied it again, wiped it off again. Then you added color, then a thick layer of white! It was a surprise ending and it totally worked. Thank you!

I’m so glad you found it helpful and are going to dust off your neocolor lls! Thanks so much for letting me know ❤️ I try to stay in the moment when I create so I couldn’t tell you why I did what I did, but I’m sure I had some good reasons at the time 😆

I love your videos. You are very honest and transparent with what works and what doesn't work. I love going through your thought process with you and understanding the why. I thought the bottom left reminded me of Stonehenge at sunset. I love using rainbow colours. For me, one reason is i just love the colour combo, but i think its also safe because i know the combo will work together. I notice you used a brush on a stick. Ive seen other artists do this too. What does this do? Thank you for your time and videos. ❤
@jackieschomburgart Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! The brush on the stick just allows me to have less control over the marks that are made, so they are even more free than they would be otherwise. ❤️

I just love your videos so educational and unique. I feel you are one of the best authentic abstract artist to watch. Oh yes, my question is, what glue do you use to stick your collage with please?. I use deli paper and gloss medium but it tends to crinkle!!... please advise. Thank you for inspiring not only me but tons of other KZbinrs from all sround the world. Karen 😂
@jackieschomburgart Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I use gloss medium from Nova Color Paints and it works well for me. I find thicker collage papers require a gel vs. medium in order to stay wrinkle-free 🤗

@@jackieschomburgart Just did this exercise but using my Wakley water-soluble crayons and my neocolor 1 instead to get back into the artsy flow after my trip overseas. It is just so easy and versatile and fun. Truth be told, I intended to create an abstract, something like yours because I love it, but, as often happens to me, not sure why, the resulting image looks like a scene from an alien planet. :DD
@jackieschomburgart2 жыл бұрын
Haha! Way to let go and allow the “alien planet” be born in your work! 👏👏👏 How did it feel as you were making it? ❤️

@@jackieschomburgart The crayon part turned out great with the least effort. I have tons of collage and gelly print papers but my tissue paper is not really good and it sometimes rubs off when applying matte gel., so that's the first challenge. Also,when I start putting the collage pieces together I somewhat get lost and takes me forever;. I think because I chose elements and organic shapes so I tend to create organic looking stuff, which is not abstract, which is what I intended. Anyway, I did have fun, and I like the end result..
