I'm 6:30 into the video and I'm worried that the soup is gonna spill 😱 But scratch that worry. You did it! 💪

If the grounds not frozen you can dig a little bit stick all three in that hole or try to place more around it to hold the logs tighter

You got it to work and thats whats important! Experimenting is always fun especially when it works out lol, Im going to make one of those bushcraft augers to drill wood like that for rocket stoves. Theyre available on amazon but I just want to make it lol, that would require more gear/weight carried and calories to use it so something to consider. Thanks for showing!

@ochocobushcraft1742 will do, im just basically going to weld a socket to a piece of pipe and I found some bits with the 1/4 inch end to fit the socket. I think it should work but we will see 🤣.

Have you considered using a magnesium bar fire starter like the Doan Government Military Issued Fire Starter? I never liked them until I realized I could use a Speedy Sharp tungsten carbide sharpener as a striker, and to scrape a big flammable pile of magnesium effectively. Was surprised. So I now bring both it and a 5 inch ferrocerium rod when camping.

I have used them many years ago. I prefer my ferro rod and a small container of cotton with petroleum jelly. But carrying the set up that you have is definitely a good way to go also.

Lol!!! I'm still experimenting with this. Before I'm done I just may invent something completely different.

You made it work , but really just get a Scotch Eye and make a 1 log Rocket Stove, less work in my opinion
