Sir, I have some confusion about the OFAT vs two-factor design. if I will use temperature and time(two factors) as independent variables and heating value as a response: in this case how we can explain the experimental advantages of DOE over OFAT. It is requested to kindly give me a reply.

Is there an easy way to generate interaction plots for all combination of factors in R?

Hello, do you have a video having 2 factors with 3 levels. High, medium , low level
@KevinDunn135 жыл бұрын
Yes, in part 5 of the course we handle multiple levels. You can use -1, 0 and +1 as coded values for 3 categorical levels of low, medium and high, if the even spacing makes sense for such a variable.

I wanted to add a third factor in the time level, maybe 240 seconds. let's just say I'm running my experiment at constant temperature which would not burn popcorn i left it on for this long. so 160, 200, and 240 seconds. still only considering white corn and yellow corn. how can i represent the factors in regards to +/- terminology? I got stuck designing this experiment.would this be a 2^5 experiment?

Ismael Hernandez : in a later video, in part 3 and part 5 we show how you can expand the range of values of a factor in the +/- terminology. We call that coded variables. It is fairly simple. It is not a 2^5 experiment though. That is something else, and we cover that in module 3 and 4.

How do you get the outcome values?
@KevinDunn136 жыл бұрын
Each outcome value is the measured result from running an experiment.
