I've watched Trump's handwriting analyzed by three different 'experts', and every single one of them has a totally different opinion on some part of it, so that's all it is, a matter of opinion. Now, for Nixon's change in signature. The last one looks like mine. And mine looks like this because I have pinched nerves in my neck due to degenerative disc disease, and that affects the fine motor skills in my hands. I can rarely write anything legibly.

There was a study back in the early 70s on people that saw phallic symbols in everything. Might want to look that one up. The change in signatures that she showed is very usual in people that have had an increase in the amount of times they are having to sign their name in a day. The comment on uphill handwriting was interesting, too. Eye doctors will also tell you that is caused from visual alignment being off. I did just see an excellent video by Mozelle Martin doing an analysis of Joe Biden’s handwriting. She actually walks you through each point, not just a bunch of talk trying to sell a book.

I am convinced the aspects of it that we have learned and proven over the years is always accurate but we as analysts can fail at times in how we use graphology and that is where the error comes in like anything else that humans practise. It seems to be a real proven science in all aspects it is so far taught but we can learn even more about handwriting still which will further the science beyond the things that are tried and tested. Same as with psychology....much is learned that is not theory but in that case there seems to be way more to even discover than with handwriting. We seem almost maxed out with the handwriting analysis with its accuracy. Seems that way to me from comparing both. Despite how much has been learned about modern psychology, it certainly seems to be a small fraction of what there is still to learn. With handwriting it seems reversed. I know they are quite interconnected and graphology is also 'brainwriting' but obviously there is WAY more hiding inside our minds than will ever be revealed in any handwriting....we only get the elementary basics with grapho. Those basic are pretty profound however and can tell us so much it is amazing.

My bullshit detector is going off. As we get older our signatures change due to breakdowns in our manual dexterity. My signature looks a little different each time I do it. And it looks worse and worse each year, even though my life is cruising along just fine. No detectable changes in my temperament. So why is my handwriting changing? Fun fact about me and my family. As a young teenager, I used to write almost exactly like my dad's handwriting. In high school, totally changed. I no longer looked like my dad's (I thought it was much more neat LOL). After high school my handwriting changed again. So, what she talks about in handwriting changes isn't true. At least not for me. I didn't have changes in my life that would mark handwriting changes if that makes sense.

The sad thing is that they do not teach handwriting any more. Everyone has a keyboard or speak and spell. I talk to my phone and it types my text messages and then I send, ( no need to even type text messages) . A 20 year old man working in an office asked the people who were training him what language the text was. They had to explain to him that it was cursive english handwriting. He thought it was a foreign language and said that he had never seen it before. That will mess with the handwriting analyzing people.

Graphology has an unproven effectiveness. Their accuracy is around 50% and therefore not better than chance.

Aemilius: You are not correct. The accuracy is a lot higher than that depending on what things you are looking for. She kept things very simple so can be more accurate. Many a crime has been solved by handwriting and she said that she has worked with law enforcement so has a lot of experience. The accuracy is not what it used to be because everyone has a keyboard and do not use a pen any more. It is not possible to analyze typed texted because everyone will have the same text.

i'd be interested to know where the 2015 sample came from.. i've only seen ONE example of it, and all the rest look like the second sample.. if the first sample was just an autograph scribbled out at some chaotic campaign rally clusterf#@k, then all these alleged "changes" are meaningless.. i mean MY signature can change (how i would sign an important marriage/birth certificate, passport, etc, is different than i scratch it out when the doctor's office gives me a phone book sized stack of paperwork i need to sign a hundred times).. if this is going to have any significance with regards to any notable "changes" then we need TWO examples from when someone was sitting and signing properly.
