I was a young Kid during his governorship. My family is staunchly liberal and my parents never voted for him. We still idolized him in our home. He represented that we can disagree on political matters without loosing sight of each others best qualities. After he left office he only continued to advocate for important issues and lead the way in building a better world. Arnold will always be an role model for me, the model of what a man should be. Strong, intelligent, and filled with love.

Arnold has seen what few people get to see in person. As a young boy, I entered a movie theater in post WW2 Scotland. The newsreel featured the liberation of a concentration camp. I was not prepared for such horrors, and it has haunted me for life. Much later my refusal to attend a dinner, led to a virtual collapse of my family, over a neo-Nazi, in the bride's close family. I remember the bomb shelters and the craters well. I remember that newsreel also. I do not regret my decision or my exile because free will gives me the absolute right to "abstain" and absent myself from their presence, and they from mine..
