I see your using a DMC GMT232 which is an MS22520/37-01 (according to page 102 of DMC catalog I have). I have a Raychem AD-1377 crimper which should also be an M22520/37-0. For all purposes, should they be considered the same tool with only marketing distinctions?

Hey I seen some splices gone wrong before and I was wondering if you could shed some light on it, I've seen couple of times wen someone would crimp an environmental splice and the crimpers wouldn't release and you be forced to squeeze much harder than you normally would to release them, which would crush the splice ruining it? Could this be faulty crimpers or someone not having the splice window facing the teeth of the crimper?

Check the pin, cable and crimping set data sheets. Sent crimping set for cal. Redo the joint.

Yes, GMT-232 and AD-1377 are equivalent.

Thanks for the video, whats your favorite place for buying these splices/ crimping tools , I have seen prices all over the place... I don't want to practice w a $5 splice...

Nice work, although your custom strip master strippers… blue handled which usually indicates automotive strippers with a corrugated grip plate (mars the insulation) ?… Have always thought the black handled custom strip master with non-corrugated grip plate were the only one's authorized for aviation work.
