Good informative video. For those criticizing for a first year EE or anybody trying to get into the field who doesn't even know what an oscilloscope is or why you use it, this video is great. Sure it may not be "expert level" but I don't see any of the criticizers making videos......

I now understand the 555 free running circuit. That is why this video is Expert Level. Brilliantly explained in easy to understand words. Thanks for walking me thru this tutorial.

Very thorough tutorial , thanks for taking the time to break it down so well ! Just 1 question : do avionics manufacturers’ data sheets usually include proper condition voltage/ voltage range specs for each pin of such an IC ?

This guys explanation of how the 555 circuit works was very easy to understand. I normally struggle with understanding the operation of electronic circuit diagrams. Thank you for this sir.

Your multimeter was in auto ranging mode. That is what made it slow. It was switching between ranges every time the 555 switched. Try that again using manual ranging at 6V on your meter on that circuit. You will be impressed by it's speed.

Agree with the rest of the comments. These are produced by a college that lists Cosmetology under their "Industrial and Engineering" studies.

I'm sorry but there was nothing expert about this, TBH I would have said it was basic level.

That meter would keep up better if you turned off the auto range function

Good but bad sound. Bad photography Good effort. Silly to call this wizard level. Lol. Check out Mr Carlson’s Lab on here. He pretty much has the best electronics channel. One of them fir sure. Still this is a good effort. Cheers.

It always troubles me right from the start when a sound guy produces such terrible audio quality in a video.

Expert level? This is about as basic as it gets. And when you video the guy from the next room over nobody can see what he's doing. We can't even see if the leds are blinking. Come on.
@Neilrrc378 жыл бұрын
+Star Gazer Go figure? I agree. It appears to be hobby skills with advanced electronic instruments, more then just a Basic Digital Multimeter. A logic probe would work for what he is doing. You only need to scope to look at critical timing output signals, but with a 555 timer chip, please…. LOL.

At first I though I would try to give these guys some constructive criticism. After watching a while, I lost interest. I agree, its as basic as it gets. Nothing educational happening here.

Jeez fella, if that's what you call "Expert Level" troubleshooting we're in serious trouble. That's beyond basic, come on: You have the equipment & obviously have the knowledge, do something useful with it & explain some real fault finding.

This guy needs someone to train him..takes about 30 seconds to troubleshoot such a small circuit.
