Hey man great channel!! I had to do a board replacement about 10 months ago and i put the Marlin 1.1.9. wish i would have been able to find this video then. It would have saved me a lot of headache, but it was the best thing i have done since i got the Robo. My prints have just about been flawless. Now that i am not afraid of getting my hands dirty and nose bloodied digging into the FW of the Robo, i may save mine off and give yours a shot. I like those features you have there.

@@jankytechbros yea it would be possible to have to 5 different materials or colors and sadly no i dont have the firmware for it i wish i knew how to do that stuff thats why i came to this channel because this the only guy i know of that still has and upgrades the r1 plus so hopefully he will read this and make full detail video on it

I have been watching you for years. I am hopeful that you do a weekly show where you print things and show how to tweak the Robo 3Dr1 it's self and different tweaks using Cura and other software's such as Astra and Octo print. I really enjoy your videos but sometimes wish it was more step by step. I hope you really do create a show for us on KZbin and Rummble.

Heyo, I finally got through installing marlin and setting everything up just to notice, I have no idea how to change my Z offset, no matter what I set my probe z offset to. If anyone has any info or tips they would be greatly appreaciated!

Did you configure Pins.h? the R1+ has one z stepper to the z driver and the other z stepper to the second extruder driver. I believe you have a single driver connected to both z steppers (you made a video saying that).. but single driver to two z steppers is not how things are out of the factory for the R1+

Thanks for keeping the Robo up to date but I have one issue. I get an "E1 Thermal protection error" which shouldn't be possible when using E1 as Z2.#define Z_DUAL_STEPPER_DRIVERS is uncommented. Any ideas?

i downloaded the github version and got an Marlin.cpp.elf section .text will not fit in region text when compling. I do not have a screen attached. how do i disabled the screen feature in audrino

Hello, First off, your videos are GREAT. I would love to use this firmware on my Robo3d R1 Plus. It is stock other then an E3d V6 hot end and a reprapdiscount smart controller XXL. What do I need to change in the firmware to be able to use your firmware. I really want to be able to change the filament in the middle of a print! Thank you!!

Hi I know this is an old vid but... I just got one of these printers I’m assuming is mostly stock. It is running 1.1.9 marlin with the same display. Haven’t printed with it yet waiting on filament. You mentioned something about changing your screws, will yours work with a stock r1+ ?

Awesome, I like the display screen and I will look into getting one. I do have a question that I have always wondered about my robo. When my robo does the 9 point calibration it will be off the square boundry of the print heated area. do you know of a way to adjust that or correct that ? Thank you in advance.

@@giantmanice after doing some research, my Robo3d printer does the calibration correctly so i don't think its an issue. More like they printing the decal on the glass incorreclty. I have been printing so many things that i haven't had any issues. The heat transfer on the printing board is good.

@@giantmanice Also, tip, the standard software that came with the robo is horrible. i recommend simplify3d or another software. I have had amazing results with simplify3d compared to the standard software that came with robo.

i got a r1 with a e3dv6 im in kangaroo land the heater cartridge sticks to around a 150c when its preheated for 210 and wont go higher than 150 any ideas i know a little bit about firmware n stuff thanks, love your videos from early 2015 lol

I made some initial modifications from your videos years ago and my Robo R1+ has been humming along nicely since. My hotend finally started giving me issues so I decided to upgrade it to the E3d V6 (finally) and figured while I was at it I'd do the Firmware and look for other mods to tackle. Does your firmware file have your RGB LED Mod code additions already included? It looks like it might but I'm not seeing the pins.h entries. Granted it's been 4 years since that video so things may have changed regarding the pins.h stuff by now. Do you have a list of all the modifications you've already accounted for in the firmware? I've got the parts for the Filament Runout Sensor mod that danzca6 posted in the Robo forums and am going to start messing with that upgrade too. Thanks for all the videos and knowledge sharing. They are greatly appreciated :)

QUESTION: I want to run a pause gcode that will resume even if I move the print head And G28 Home. My problem is G28 X0 Y0. Turns off bed map. And, If I don't home, I can't locate previous pause location on resume, if hot end gets moved. My question is: IS THERE A WAY TO RESUME BED MAP? After G28 X0 Y0. (Home) G29 I, G29 s1, M420 S1, M501 Don't work. Thanks.
