As an advanced skiier and intermediate snowboarder imo skiing is definitely easier over all, but actual tricks are easier on snowboard. Snowboarding is also way more punishing especially on that first day or two.

I’ve been skiing since I was 7 I’m now 29 and I did what these guys but in reverse, jumped on a board and thought how hard can it be, I honestly think it would be easier to paint a house with a toothbrush

I have been skiing since I was two and I was gifted a board a few years ago and I wanted to try. I took a lesson and the instructor said something I believe is very true. Skiing is easy to learn hard to master, Snowboarding is harder to learn easier to master. Snowboarding is a lot more painful when you fall. Me personally prefer skiing because I feel much more in control. I think snowboarding is harder to learn and I have not reached the point where I am done learning and moving on to really progressing. I cant speak to learning skiing because I don't remember learning it. But overall I think skiing is easier.

Skiing and snowboarding are equaly as hard, they just have a different learning curve. Skiing is easy to get the basics down, but its really hard to become a professional. Snowboarding on the other hand, it hard at first, but once you have the basics down, you can pretty much do anything.

What I think is that snowboarding is harder to learn and start the skiing but you can progress further with skiing and it becomes harder than snowboarding.

It seems that every second snowboarder riding down the hill can 'sort of' do a heel side turn but can't do a toeside turn. The same can't be said of intermdiate skiers. They can turn both ways, which doesn't screw up the snow on the hill. Just saying 🙂

I've tried snowboarding twice, and just now tried skiing. I couldn't make it down a bunny hill on a snowboard, but two days ago I tried skiing, and I did amazing. I've always sucked at skateboards, but I am good at roller blading, and it's way easier atleast for me to ski.

Me too! ha ha I’m an ice hockey player and experienced rollerblader, but I tried skateboarding for the first time and I felled almost broke all my knees(hadn’t wear the safe equipment because I was at my house). I tried snowboarding and skiing twice, skiing for sure is way easier to me.
