Beautiful! Thanks for this. Ive been an inpatient therapist for almost a year providing group therapy. It's been a mixture of challenging and rewarding. Ive been feeling bored and stuck lately. I want to challenge myself and learn new tools within group therapy. This powerpoint is eye opening for me thanks.

I have no idea if the speaker is reading but others input would also be welcomed. I am an RN BSN with 48 years of work in all hospital ares including psy. Home care and elder institutionalized elders with psy issues. Have been thinking of starting a group in my town that has no place out for patients. I was thinking of opening it up to PTSD and depression or both or separately. Much of my information is personal and about 50% from educating myself. Any constructive comments helpful. Thanks

As a group leader of course I would function as a leader but could add some of my own experience only to let them know I can relate on some level and share things that did or didn’t work for me.

@@DocSnipes hi I'm in group therapy and am leaving and my therapist had said that I need much more help in the group session and when group was finished I text him to ask what he meant so that I can know his professional opinion what he thinks will help me or who I need to see and so on his reply was to bring it up in the next session making me feel that it's up to group to know and my situation in group is quite sensitive up to that moment on one knows what to say to me that's one of the reasons I'm leaving cause I feel like burden

@@nataliesmidt5324 I know this is from a month ago, but dont ever feel like a burden, sometimes you just get shitty group leaders...If you did leave this group and/or treatment all together, please consider trying a new group or other options.

@@Steinwbs thanks Brandon appreciate it. I had left group but to find another group has been hard because there is not much groups on topic of sexual assault. Thank you appreciate the feedback
