The first quarter was like every warriors game without Steph Curry these past few years. The rest of the game is the new Strength in Numbers 2.0 warriors. Congrats to the GM and the coaching staff for building this team. I just hope they know that the ceiling of this team depends on JK becoming a 20pt per night player. Thanks for another great analysis Eric!

We have to admit, it was lucky that Theis missed that shot. He was fairly open. Still, of all the available shooters, he's the one the Warriors want taking that shot, so the least bad option is as good as it gets. Should be a fun season. (Also cool to see Theis get regular playing time. Underrated big.)
@TheTrueGOATS3 ай бұрын
He's 0 for 6 from 3 on the season and a career 32% 3 point shooter, not really lucky he missed it they played the numbers.
@BassDawStew3 ай бұрын
@TheTrueGOATS oh, fully agree. He's a stretch 5 who isn't hitting 3s. Having him shoot it is the best option that isn't a turnover. At the same time, I always hope for a bit of a tighter contesting of the shot. Almost anybody in the NBA can hit damn near any shot if you give them enough time and space. But yep, that's the best option.

Not enough acclaim for the process and individuals involved (Kerr, Dunleavy, Adams or others?) involved in hiring on people like Stackhouse to head your defensive effort. I'm going to nominate important coaches like Jerry to be as crucial as any of the top 5 players on the squad, maybe even higher. We all know how important Adams was for at least 3 of those championships. Their emphasis on D has been vital to their success during these Splash years...their defensive genius actually opening the way for their offense to succeed. I'm all in on this season, and looking forward to watching what they can do.

LAC overplayed the passing lanes to smoke the offense that everyone’s still trying to learn, and LAC got a zillion points off turnovers. They also did a good job against the swarm D by finding the open shooter

Eventually they face a good team and overhelping doesn’t help. Can any of them play man D? Also eventually there’s a team that covers the passing lanes better and they need to switch to less passing and more iso ball.
