I have a Q: what is the difference in meaning between "It was raining when i left the house" and " it had been raining for 2 hrs when i left the house". as i understood in both examples it is was still raining when i left the house, so whats the difference, is it just the duration of time mentioned in the 2nd example? Thanks and best regards

I didn't get from this minutes 5:39 on. He said that "It had been raining for 2 hours when I left the house" brings the sense that it was still raining when he left while at the other way it brings the sense that the raining had stopped when he left the house. So to bring the meaning that the rain stopped when I left, I'd have to say "It had been raining for 2 hours BEFORE I left the house"??

Hello, can you discuss "is there?" Vs "Does?" Question form. Which is correct in this sentence? "Is there anything sprung up when the good seed had grown?" Or "Does anything.....?" Pls help me. Thanks.
