At 0:23 was that the cat's little end of his tail pointing up? Lol sweet. cats always act like they want to get down but then stick around for a little love.

Yes, he has the tendency to jump right back up after I take him off of me. He has no shame with that tail of his! Lol

What is a "styler" per say?? Cause when I did this method I did the loc method (soaked hair, leave in conditioner, oil, and gel, and I sat under the dryer for 20 mins some of my curls popped but my front area didn't
@BluAmbiance10 жыл бұрын
They styler in my case is gel because it defines your curl and gives it hold. Anthony Dickey used a whipped cream styler. Your styler can be anything you choose that will basically assist in "styling" your hair.

Okay ima try it with gel c: I was really confused with the method when I watch the video.

cute cat. love the video. I have no choice to do the hair dryer because I have very thick kinky hair with more curly pattern in the front less defined in the back. I don't know.

Your kitty is adorable, hairless? I have 3kitties. I tried this method today after seeing your video. Taren Guy visited his salon in her salon series. I'm going to see how it works from me.

why do people always give something their own name??? This method is nothing new... it has always existed and our ancestors before colonial times used to finger detangle and braid and do different hairstyles etc. just because you apply conditioner and wash it out in order to use styler, like everyone else does, it has to be called "Anthony Dickey Method" Maximum Hydration Method, Loc and Seal Method, "Co and Pre Poo Method" "Wash and Go" lol, funny world. Really funny

I believe names are given as a reference. These methods may have been used by our ancestors for many years but a lot of our history has been lost. So, now that many women are going back to their natural state and focusing more on health rather than length and societies definition of beauty, we have to create a reference points. In order to have a reference point, we must have a name. When it comes to this particular method, the man named it after himself. LOC is an acronym for the order in which you could layer your products for good moisture for our hair type. If we don't create names, methods, and techniques for ourselves, we won't be able to educate those that have a desire to learn. I hope this explanation gives you some insight.

+susuilu He came up with the idea, thats why he gave it his own name.

Give me a link, all i've seen was women sitting down and separating their hair for hours.

thats a regular ol' wash and go. this involves developing your curls in the shower with conditioner. Putting styler over it, shaking, and then drying it under a dryer. I never seen this before until Dicky. This makes a huge difference to a person who has type 4 hair.
