I am a 4B girl, and the way I make my way through the winter months is to do almost exactly as he said. I style my hair at night and sit under the dryer. Since my hair will be a matted mess the next morning if I just tie it down, I twist it up before I tie it down for the night. The next morning, I take down the twists and spritz my hair with a little water to separate the curls. I finish by blow drying my hair on warm setting, fluff and go! It takes about 30 minutes total from start to finish.
@jmb23596 жыл бұрын
But isn't that a twist out, not a wash and go? I do that too with my 4cdefg hair. I have too!!!! ...r it will shrink up something awful!! The objective is to not have to twist ur hair...just saying.

Hi Mr. Dickey. Do you have any 4c hair clients that have experienced hair thinning due to blood pressure medicine? If so, what advice did you share with those clients as far as hair products, styling techniques etc. Based on what I've learned about the different textures of black hair it looks like to me I have 4c hair. I can tell my at the crown of my head that my hair has thinned out quite a bit since I've been on blood pressure medicine. I still have a head full of hair which I thank God for but the thinning is very noticeable to me. My hair is very uneven and I have not had a trim in probable about 2 years. I appreciate your educational videos. Thank you

If a hood dryer seems atrocious to you, then at least invest on a good blow dryer with a diffuser attachment. It will expedite the drying process a lot quicker!
@DannielleElliott7 жыл бұрын
I purchased a hooded dryer and it was the best investment. I like it better than a diffuser. When I use a diffuser it seems that I disturb my curl definition. It could be that I don't know how to use it correctly, but sitting under a hair dryer doesn't disturb my curls at all.

Sorry but I disagree! I am 4b/4c and I wear my wash n go for two weeks. I used to wear it for 1 week but decided it was too much manipulation for my kinky hair. Plus, I was rewashing my hair when it still looked good on day 7, so I started stretching it out to 2 weeks. This has made my life so much easier because it takes so long to do 4c hair. My hair has been doing just fine wearing my wash n go for two weeks. I even like it better after the first week because it is fuller. I think you probably have to use a strong hold gel to make it to two weeks, but I make my own and use flax seed gel. My hair has been thriving. You have to find what works for you. Also, you have to make sure your hair is moisturized well if you want to wear your wash n go for a long time. I put a lot of oils in my Flax seed gel and use a good leave in before I put in the gel. In the winter I re-moisturize with an oil almost everyday.
