A Really Good One Is ZigZag Order 1, 4, 2, 5, 3, 6 You get to see Vaders Backtory as well as viewing the original trilogy practically at the same time

I don’t know very about Star Wars - I’ve seen the originals growing up, but I haven’t seen any of the prequels because I heard they are awful! Lol! I think suggesting newbies watching in order of release date is solid advice! The drug dealer analogy had me dying! I did just start the Mandalorian and I am enjoying it so far! Of the two, I would pick the Teacup version, but I propose merging the two versions. Star with 7 and frame the Rey story, then do the Westworld version to do the backstories. So the order would be 7,4,1,2,5,3,6,8,9.

I like chronological. Everyone knows that Darth Vader is Luke's father at this point and if you somehow didn't know by now, you don't deserve to have it be a big reveal. This makes it a story of galactic politics dominated by the Skywalker and Palpatine families.

I like Teacup! I really love the early part of of Ep7. That's a very cool start. Maybe Teacup/Machete?? 7, 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 9 So you get both Rey mattering more and the Vader reveal. Also you pick up Luke quickly after leaving him in Ep 7 - don't have to wait 3 episodes to meet him

I think for science I’m gonna have to watch it each way... but I love teacup version. Mike says 7,4,5,1,2,3,6,8,9 to give the Luke back story, then the darth Vader story, then circle back around. FOR SCIENCE

That’s what Josh just commented too! Originally the Teacup Order *was* going to be machete sandwiched in between episodes 7 and 8 but I was worried it would be too confusing...but I might just have to give it a try!

My watch order Different is Timeline 1 , Episode 1,2,3,7,8,9 when Asoka dies and Timeline 2 Episode 4,5,6,Mandalorian season 1 ,Mandalorian season 2 when Asoka find the child based on World Between Worlds

Thatvwas really good. I like the teacup order, but I'm a chronological order gal myself now. The very first time I watched I watched in release order. I really enjoy the prequels and learning the Vader back story. It still blows my mind that cute sweet Ani became Vader.

I’ve only done chronological order once and remember it feeling a LOT more epic since it spans almost a full century from start to finish...plus, if you watch with Rogue One thrown in, the transition into A New Hope is amazing. I’m tempted to try true chronological, with all the tv shows, eventually...maybe that can be my New Years resolution!

@@TeacupForOne I haven't watched Rogue One, but I didbenjou throwing Solo into the mix after the fact because it actually makes you appreciate Solo more. Plus the characters that play Han and Lando really make you below they are the younger versions of Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams.

I LOVE Solo, I know it wasn’t super well received, but that scene when Lando and Han meet for the first time is incredible...and I thought Qi’ra was a fascinating character, I’m really hoping we see more of her eventually.

I LOVE the idea of the Teacup order. I do find that the new trilogy is so disjointed from the rest of the series it's nice for it to kind of be the main focus of it. The second and third trilogies both start with mysteries about infamous people so I think the hop back to explain is a super cool idea! I feel like somehow combining the Teacup order and the Machete order would be wild though. Like jump back from Rey to learn about Luke then jump back from Luke to learn about Anakin and then finish the series. Side note: I will not tolerate The Last Jedi SLANDER!

YES!! That was actually my original idea, to do the machete order in between episodes 7 and 8 buuut I was a bit worried it could be too convoluted, but I fully agree it would have a stronger payoff since (like I mentioned) the machete order puts Luke at the heart of the story. And as for The Last Jedi...I’m sure I’ll do a whole episode about it one day. I personally love it for the porgs alone. So cute.

LOL..... Luke thinks seeing the re-release in theaters makes him a real starwars fan?!?! Ha ha! I saw the FIRST STAR WARS movie multiple time in theater in 1977. I grew up truly afraid of Darth Vader. I hate films 1,2,3. My order is 4,5,6,7,8,9... or Solo, Rogue 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. I was so upset that Vader was Luke's father.

Haha, well between the two of us Luc is the self-proclaimed “real” Star Wars fan since I only started appreciating the series once Disney acquired them (plus I don’t mind Last Jedi, but that’s a can of worms best left unopened!), but we know neither of us can compare to the original fans who grew up with the series! I wish I could’ve experienced the Vader reveal in a theatre with an audience....the closest I probably came was when I saw Force Awakens and they revealed Kylo Ren was Han and Leia’s son...it was a lot less dramatic, but you could feel the excitement in the theatre once that bit of info was confirmed.
