I saw this show during my childhood back in the 1990's and it's one of my favorites.

This preview looks like a bad Tim Burton acid trip. The scene where the dwarves come home after laboring ion the mines all day, and Zegler is there doing nothing all day. She then hands them brooms and dusters and explains to them they need to start cleaning, while she delegates. Apparently she needs to do nothing other than being a woman and a "Boss Babe". Wrong answer. The dwarves saved her life and gave her a safe place to stay. The last thing they need is someone to delegate tasks. She needs to show gratitude. If that means sweeping the floor, so be it.

I was born in 1980 and grew up in Utah and loved this show. It’s where I learned about cooperation!

I found the film to be sooo boring and honestly not written well at all! I think the animation is beautiful and looks great but the characters are uninteresting, the songs are forgetful and you dont get to know alot of about the rooms! Its like they just rushed everything in this film! and representation is pointless I really who gives a crap if it represents you, I had a character look like me and I go on about or need to Cosplay them because of it! But cut a lot story short it is to me one of Disney's failures.

Yes, I think she is perfect for Snow White. I’m not excited for the CGI dwarfs and furry creatures. It still bothers me that Disney used real life Dwarfs to promote this movie at D23, so why couldn’t they use those actor’s in the movie?

No one would have backed Tom Holland saying that. It’s unreasonable, and my Rachel’s standards, you owe her money for this video. And I don’t know where you were, but Emma Watson for a LOT of negative press for the changes she admitted she wanted and got. She missed the point of Belle, missed the point that she was outcast simply for living to read. The washing machine took over the town’s entire water supply, and in the opening song, girls are having to rush to pick up their laundry since she decided to walk right where they were laying it out. She made Belle unlikable, even before BatB came out. I know a lot of people who still don’t like her anymore. Rachel is getting more defense than Emma ever got, despite claiming that the prince was a stalker in the original when he was actually the embodiment of what Snow While was dreaming about and wishing for. In the original, when the prince fist showed up (a lot of people are forgetting this happened), she was frightened for a second since he was suddenly there, and then she started flirting back. He was her wish, and she was into it.

I am spanish and brown skinned. I just hate the forced diversity of Zegler as Snow White. She is brown skinned, snow white is called snow white because of her white skin. Why not use someone who has albinism or Asian. For Ariel the diversity worked because its a mermaid. I also hate the hair they gave her. Its giving Lord Farquaad, to be honest. Disney is just pumping out live action movies for easy money and its sad to see. Why not give us a new spanish princess or even make a movie of Elena of Avalor. That would have been way better than this.

I have no issue with Rachel playing Snow White and wanting to adjust the story for a modern audience. My issue comes in with an apparent hatred for the source material.. if you think the original material is bad why do you want to be here now? It feels really disingenuous to take almost the entire concept of what made Snow White Snow White and completely change her innocence and humble nature to an almost agressive girl boss out to save herself. It feels like all that was wanted was the basic surface level elements to get an audience in the theaters and then disregard everything that made the original story the story. Change and updates are fine but if you change almost every element of the story…is it still the story?

The story verbatim says “skin white as snow”. That’s the problem we have with her playing Snow White. It’s just Disney pandering and tearing down original works and characters instead of creating new characters of color that don’t have to stand on the success of previous stories. Any one of substance or moderate intelligence sees right through it.

I agree with you 100% regarding everything you have mentioned from viewing the movie trailer. The CGI Dwarf’s look fake and disturbing as do the fuzzy little creatures! Interesting that the film was promoted at D23 using live Dwarf’s and they ( I only saw two) looked great and one spoke to the fans in a great Dwarf voice, obviously an actor! Dopey was the other featured Dwarf , and he was obviously silent . I don’t think CGI Dwarf’s will work in this movie. I love the wicked Queen in the mirror! In my opinion it’s a classic movie and should be left alone.

Okay. I went to Disney World for the first time in like....TEN THOUSAND YEARS (I'M FREEEE!) and one of the first things we did was talk with one of the Snow Whites who goes around the park. This is just a park employee and her dress looked...SO MUCH BETTER. What is wrong with Rachel's dress? That skirt not only looks 'inaccurate' but in all, it legit looks like one of the cheap frilly material skirts I used to buy off EBAY of all places for fast cosplays, not exactly *TIGHT* (more detailed) ones. Rachel just looks AWFUL as Snow White because it doesn't have the love put into cosplay nor does it have the fine touches of a professional costumer maker...even though that's WHO made this! And as for the original film.....I bought the blu-ray when Walmart was marking them down to almost nothing and I have to say, finally watching the movie on blu-ray (I didn't get the DVD) and seeing how it looks and works DOES make you appriciate it because you start to realize WHO made it and what the time was like for animated features at all. The thing that makes this remake so pointless is that it really doesn't achieve anything. Disney has remade their classics BEFORE the 2010s but the thing that makes this so egregious is that everything looks horrificically DATED, especially the CG and how they decided to color grade this movie. The OG film was running proof that you could do animated feature films and it more or less lit the scene on what we have now, not just with Disney but in terms of how animation started to really jumpstart because other studios wanted to compete with Disney concerning theatrical animated movies and we do have a nice cateloge of non-Disney animated features that hardly anyone talks about but were launched because people *WANTED* to do something new. They wanted to catch that gold to say. But wheere are we now? Wish was utterly TERRIBLE and looked dated compared to a lot of other animated films, including other DISNEY animated films before it and this doesn't seem to be doing anything that shows off new animation at all other than 'fake real'. Concerning thee Dwarves, as much as Peter commented on his annoyance of it, I REALLY REALLY WISH (HA) Disney didn't chicken out and actually hired actors with Dwarfism to fill these roles because the dwarves look AWFUL in CG. It's not Ugly Sonic bad but just...lifeless. To the point you could tell that they SHOULD be actual people as you'll get more and ACTUAL reactions from them, not this rubbery bland look that doesn't even do a good job at bringing the looks of the original designs to CG. They all look awful and boring. And no, the movie shouldn't be canceled. I am SO sick of hearing that because it really shows how little people know about business in terms of producing these movies. Even if the movie is trash, there is a spot that studios get in where they CAN NOT just throw away a movie. If they had stopped like....almost 3 years ago, they would have had the opportunity to cancel it and pay off the people who worked on it but it's too far (and COMPLETED!) at this point to 'cancel' it and writing it off isn't possible either because it's almost done cookin'. Sorry kids, this is comin' out but if you really don't want to support it....DON'T F'IN' WATCH IT! I'm not and that's an easy as hell choice to make so....what excuse do others have? This is one Imma skip because it's a film I really have no passsing interests in and I have the OG which is enough for me. Gal is too good for this and if anything, if Disney had an imagination, she'd be playing an OLDER SNOW WHITE and the movie we'd get is like...Snow and her King and the Dwarves all banding up like Jojo characters to fight off the Evil Queen's ghost soul or something that is coming back to take revernge but Snow shows her that the Queen has learned nothing and even as Snow White has become Queen herself and is older, her kingdom loves her not because of her beauty but becaues she is a wise, kind, caring queen who puts her people before herself.....UNLIKE A CERTAIN QUEEN WHO WAS JEALOUS OF A TEENAGER DESPITE BEING HOT TO TROT AND WANTED A GUY TO TAKE OUT HER HEART!

As far as the music the original Broadway cast album was superb, it had the great Broadway sound and is complimented the song's, I went to see the original play with Stephanie Mills, the whole movie was a mess, they made it look so trashy, they should have tried to be as close as the original soundtrack, if they needed to have a story line for Diana's part I would have maybe made her a model who's life spun out of control ,drink, drugs hospitalizations where she falls into a dream fighting to go home where life was safe, her friend and family was what's important, but then again it's too much like mahogany, vocally Stephanie Mills hands down, I also didn't like how Diana was made up

First I want to say I do love Rachel Zegler. She seem really entitled and all but aren't most people these are like that? I think she is pretty enough to play Snow White. Having said that, the character of Snow White is SUPPOSED TO BE WHITE! It is part of the whole story. For heavens sake the word WHITE is in the name of Snow White. The casting is wrong. It is like me, an Asian, playing Abraham Lincoln.

I like how you have a lot of knowledge of the original film. The trailer was more or less what I expected and regardless of how the film turns out I think it will perhaps at least get people to rewatch and appreciate the 1937 original animated film. Also I don't get how in 2012 in Mirror Mirror there was no issue with getting dwarf actors but only recently it became offensive to include them. Also I think we can all agree this at least looks better than the Pinocchio remake

If you are ever interested in seeing Lucille LaVerne in a role similar to the peasant crone in "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs", check out her performance in "A Tale Of Two Cities" from 1935.

Ok I am convinced that they make trailer shots separately that will not even be in the movie. So I take all trailers with a grain of salt. IMDB says his name is Johnathan. I wonder if he is even a prince. Gal Gadot said last year that Disney used her worst take of her final scene and she is not happy. To me that says she plays both queen and hag. I have every faith in Gal. She has played a villain before and I love it. Mirror, Mirror got the pacing right so I hope Snow White can do it too.

Hmmmmm I’m not sure I’m sold. Not enough upsides to make up for the ick. I do think this movie will be important historically as the ultimate example of how NOT to handle a situation. Because Dwarfs. I’m not sure they could have done a worse job with this, and it feels like the creative people who love the original and wanted to do right by it were shoved aside by lawyers and accountants and JEEZ DINKLAGE HOW ABOUT MIND YOUR BUSINESS… it’s very possible they were already going to do right by the dwarfs and his attack made them afraid to do ANYTHING. Ugh. Big mad. Also… I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before… the 1937 Snow White was my mother’s first time in a movie theater. She was 3. The old crone/witch scared her to death but she was so thrilled by the experience that she grew into one of the biggest movie buffs I’ve ever known. I personally owe a lot to Snow White and I’m so mad they screwed this up
