Spent one month in Queensland, Australia in 1988 - all I can remember was expensive xxxx beer, beautiful Irish-looking women and lots of meat pies at the Breakfast Creek Hotel. Oh yeah, the towns had exotic names - Toowooomba, Cairns and Maryborough.

I didn't even know that Aussies had a thing for pies although I should have guessed really. Growing up on pies and mash (and liquor) in London and even now I live opposite a pie & mash shop I just love them! Maybe not as much as Jonesy! But who does? Let me rephrase that; what health conscious person loves pies as much as Steve Jones? 😂 Sry Steve! I love ya man.
