Hi! Nice video thanks. However I'd like to understand what's then the best way in order to have the best sound to connect 1x or 2x Turntable(s) (switch to Line or Phono?) to a DJM-450 Mixer say (Phono or Line RCA?) and 2 x powered speakers (switch to Line or Phono?)? Thanks!

not sure how I ended up here after looking into dj controllers -- but this did teach me why plugging my phone into my AV receiver using 3.5mm to RCA must go into the CBL/SAT RCA in and not the PHONO RCA in! gave me a heart attack that one

I'm looking at a pre-amp without a phono input, but with two aux inputs instead (both have L/R channels). Would it be safe to say that using this pre-amp would not work with a turntable? It's a Pyle PPRE70BT.

I've tried phono-phono and line-line, either way the signal is quiet. It's a nice to listen but to have it match the ddj rz other channel i have to crank up trim for the turntable and down for the other channel to have them at a decently loud level to mix the two. is this normal?

im so confused, the turntable either has a preamp built in or you need to connect it to a preamp before the signal goes to the amplifier, why is there a phono/line input to the amp? or are the two different inputs for the preamp?

Yes. Phono is only for turntables. Line is for everything else 👍

I'm new so what I understand. PHONO means it's already loud (pre-amped) LINE means you need to plug it to a mixer or amplifier correct?

Line is nothing but inbuilt preamp line from Turntable. Phono is used to take the signal and feed into an external preamp.

fun fact : if you plug output from a pre amp into a phono input you will go deaf for a week.
