Explaining the C6 Corvette addition and wall redecoration.

Redecorating the garage walls with new wall art to reflect more of a Corvette theme. Attempting to compliment my 2023 C8 Corvette.

I love everything you have added to your space. The corvette rear end with lights are a nice touch. How big is your garage/barn. I have a 5 car garage with a few things hanging and a race deck floor. But my space is no where as great as yours. I am looking for a lighted chevrolet bow tie to hang from my ceiling. I enjoy your videos.

Thanks for the kind words George. My space is about 1200 sq ft. Your 5 car garage must be similar in space. I have the race deck floor also. And I have a lighted chevy bowtie. Trying to remember where I got it. It might have been on a Chevy shopping website. Gary

I’m very impressed. I have had 5 vettes with get my C8 2021 last year and after see how you installed the rear end of the C6 I got one. Can you send me a little more details on how you hung it and wired it I would really appreciate it. Your man cave is a dream Thanks

Thanks so much for the kind words. Explaining in detail the wiring with me one finger typing might be rough for both of us. It would be long. If you wanted to just have the taillights and license lights on that woudn't be so hard but the sequencing is a lot more involved. As far as mounting don't try to just slam the cover flat up agaisnt the wall. Depending on the height of the wall you will have to mount it off vertical to get the best view. I think with my 9 1/2' walls it was 13" down from vertical. I used what I had on hand. Had some perferated angle spanned the length of the cover and fastened on the ends with 3/8" bolts and nuts. That will stiffen the cover to allow it to be hung. The supports were made from pieces of 2x4 in the form of an "L". Vertical part of L was attached to pieces of perferated angle and angle was attached to wall studs with lag screws. The other part of L that sticks outward was ,I think, 16" long with the end of it cut at about 45 degree angle. The cover will rest on top of these 2 supports and screwed through the angle iron to the 45 cut of the supports. Should give you about the right look when done. Sorry if I didn't explain myself too well

@@watchdc951 The black (gnd) and brown wires should be for your tail lights and license lights. These should be identifiable from the wire harness. You will probably need a 12 volt DC power supply rated around 15 amps. Especially if you decide later to add brake and directional. I dont know your skill level with wiring but I hope this helps.
