"Longest, most painful game in college football history" This game was quite long and definitely painful, but LSU vs. A&M in 2019 literally changed the rules because of how long and painful it was.

@@user-go3rc3fy4iI still have the picture saved to my hard drive of Frank Beamer, arms raised, celebrating WFU's missed field goal at the end of regulation that would have won 3-0. I'm a Wake alum. But our football team has always been a joke in my house. That one year we made the orange bowl, the cheer when we won the coin toss, followed by the lopsided loss, inspired my mom to suggest a T-shirt: 2009 ORANGE BOWL (ceremonial coin toss) CHAMPIONS

Are you watching a 4 hour, overtime game!? No, i’m just watching the receivers being Kadarius Toney, the QBs being Nathan Peterman, and the running backs being sacked for loss all of the sudden. So close to game winners, but not quite until the very end.

Not addressing the Sean Clifford injury misses a massive part of this game. He was knocked out vs Iowa two weeks prior, and the backup could barely run a positive play. Sean had some time to recover during the following bye week but no one knew who would start here. Sean was definitely hurt and so was I after watching this in person
@lakelandchiefsfan12766 ай бұрын
Yea idk how he missed that. Pretty crucial part to the whole story, even when describing the Iowa game I was like Clifford? Are we not gonna point out that he went down? PSU was up when he went out.

The old OT rules were better. The 2 point conversion thing is just stupid. Changing the rules because of a situation that happened 5 times ever was a dumb decision. Coach Ogeron whined about the A&M-LSU game cause his team decided to celebrate to early

this game shows exactly why they changed it tho. could you imagine how long this game would've taken with the old rules? two terrible offenses trading 3-and-outs and field goals for 10+ OT's? both teams would have to forfeit their next week cuz this game would still be going on 😝

@zachellenburg57387 ай бұрын
Ties are still worse than this. Nobody is happy to tie.
@worfsonofmogh11547 ай бұрын
It should just be simple ten minute overtime. First team to score a touchdown or defensive score wins. If you run out of time, too bad it's a tie. Or do that and follow it up with the UFL style shoot out rules if you are in the playoffs. You can't have more than double overtime and you can't have more than 3 possessions in the shootout to score points. It would at most take 25 minutes.

Why is obscuring the image as if seen through a 1983 TV with crappy analog signal a good thing? Why would you intentionally degrade the quality of the video you're showing? Just because your video editor has a bunch of filters doesn't mean you need to use them.
