I'd love to know the muscle relationships involved in this. Would the Right Nutation suggest a short Piraformis compensating for Long Gmax on the Right? Then if so would the TLF be affecting the Sacrum with the Pos Oblique Sling? 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Very clear and good explanation. Do you have any self exercise to correct Ron R or L on L sacral torsion ?

Watch the newer videos and if you look at the technique then it is possible to do a self technique on yourself in the SIMS position. regards JG

Hi John, greetings from Australia. I really enjoy your videos immensely. Thank you they are brilliant. I do have a question about what you say in this one if you could clairify? At about 1:47 you begin to talk about the relationship with the sacrum, and the lumbar spine which counter rotates to compensate. And so, if the sacrum presents as a torsion left on left (the sulcus felt deeper on the right) , then, if we palate the L5 transverse process it will be shallow on the left, yes? The opposite. However you say L5 depression would be on is right. This is all new to me, apologies if I've got it wrong...I'm a bit confused. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks.

+Jenny Petridis Hi, thanks for the message and typically if the sacrum rotated left then the L5 normally would rotate right as this is normally mechanics during the gait cycle, however if the sacrum torsion has been present for a while and fixed in a position (L-on-L) then it can make the lumbar rotate to the same side. Not easy to understand if honest as naturally a difficult subject but very rewarding......hope that helps!

Hello John. In a L on L torsion you mention that the sacrum would rotate left and side bent towards right and would be nutated which would lead to hyperlordosis. In case of a Right Unilateral Sacral Flexion, does the sacrum nutate too which results in hyperlordosis and the L5 rotate opposite, similar to a L on L torsion? Hope i am making sense to you. Also, may i please know the approach of treatment for it? Thank you very much. Sorry to be bothersome here in the comment section. I apologize in advance.

You do seem overly obsessed with anything to do with the sacrum, I haven't written anything about unilateral sacral torsions and you sound like you know about it yourself so there is no need to ask me those questions. regards JG

Hello John. Thank you for sharing this video. May i know if manual therapy can correct this and bring it back to normal state of mobility and position/alignment or could it just help and not fix it.

Hi, potentially the techniques can help correct the sacrum realign. regards JG

Thank you for your reply John. By this you mean it can help to a certain degree or you mean the method that you practice (manual osteopath i suppose) can help in realign and fix it for the above case presented in the video on your son- Lon L sacral torsion. Please let me know. Thank you very much

Hello John, here Paweł from Poland:). I believe you re showing rotation to the right while saying "to the left" (0:56 sec). You may probably correct it by writting it at the moment of slight mistake. Good day!

Incase of neutral lumbar( neither hyperlordosis nor flat back), how will you diagnose left on right or left on left .?.
@JohnGibbons
@JohnGibbons 4 жыл бұрын
If you have a posterior sacrum then the lumbar will naturally be in flexion so non neutral. regards JG
