🎬 Synopsis: Earth sucks, so God (Tom Ellis) gets fired and sent to Earth to reconnect with humanity. The catch? He's trapped in the body of a chubby house cat. As part of his rehabilitation, he moves in with a dysfunctional family and tries to solve their problems, but ends up spending a lot of time chasing laser pointers. And to top it off, Godcat’s next-door neighbor, who is also a cat, turns out to be none other than his nemesis, the Antichrist. The result is the ultimate fight between good versus evil…except, Godcat (Ellis) is distracted by a pigeon he saw in the yard and Devilcat (Sasheer Zamata) is busy napping on someone’s laptop.

tbh i just finished and i felt like a chore. The humor and story were mid. It had a very few moments that made me laugh, but 98% of the times i had a dead expression on my face wondering why I was watching that...

It's a freaking time capsule which I slowly realized, when I heard some familiar songs like Darude Sandstorm and others. Kinda like the show! (Alongside the Cuphead Show, Hellaverse shows and Ultrakill there with Madoka too. Have a Crossover AU idea and I post some Exploding Kittens fanart) Some of the jokes and moments were exhale-worthy, that means it's good! There was character growth as well! And interesting lore about Beelzebub DevilCat being half-human apparently and crawled out of her dad first And I liked GodCat. That's it! Hope they'll get a second season too, scratch it, MAKE IT MORE SEASONS THAN BIG MOUTH! (And maybe Cuphead Show being reviewed too) And there's a lot of new kittens at the end (that were form the joke make-out), which are probably the exploding kittens themselves, probably in the second season I don't mind the mark.

I was introduced to Exploding Kittens through the Netflix series. I can’t even tell you how much I love it! For some strange reason it hits me not only in my funny bone but in my emotions! The ark of both God Cat and Beelzebub is heart warming and perversely honest. I immediately got my plushies, and can’t wait to get the game! And what the bent ranks in heaven do you mean by a giving it a B rating? You tell me what could be more cleaver?! In any case God Cat and Beelze are mine all mine, so buzz off buster! 😹

I really did not like the humor to this show imo it wasn't funny but cringe. I found the characters overally annoying and unlikeable. I'm glad you liked it, but if I look at shows from 2024 I dislike Exploding Kittens as much as The Acolyte. Both of them ruined a franchise in my eyes.

@@CRHIX Even if it was, who cares, it’s an unrelated show. I get how a show could ruin a movie or vice-versa, but you wouldn’t say a cinderella game ruined the movie.

Exploding kittens is what is expect if I told chatgpt to write contemporary adult animated comedy and put the first draft to production. Surprisingly predictable, funny like the Armenian genocide and playing it's Netflix heritage straight, it's letter for letter the low effort Netflix slop one could expect.

I agree, there is a lot of outdated references and Millennial humor. I don't really know why Beelzebub and God were fighting other than they are good and evil. The plot twist of episode 8 was boring. When the dad was adopted it was so boring and the death of the manager was supposed to be this emotional scene but it was just boring and I was thinking why should we care, whe barely know the guy. Overall this show is effortless and all Netflix was thinking is 'here is a dead card game that the kids used to love, let's just make it for adults, have the title that has nothing to do with the show and produce it'. It is just a lazy show
