I prefer to play a different style of this game - it's called "put the deck of cards away and have a sword fight" And the other alternative game mode - "shuffle the deck and have a sword fight with cool rules".

I wonder if theoretically the shorter person has an advantage in an otherwise equal fight. (i.e. same age and rules) Like, they have a smaller 'hitbox' and their arms are closer to your torso which would make it easier to hit it.

@@nikirol4051 usually the taller person will have an advantage in a real swordfight but it's nothing the shorter person can't bypass if they know what they're doing and can close the distance effectively.

The full rules say that a Fight Boss in a fight must choose someone else to act as Fight Boss.

Love it aside the only 1 fight per turn and fight boss decides who that is. I think any card set that gets 2 people should be a fight, and anyone with more than 2 people they all lose. Having scenarios where fight boss just decides seems a little unbalanced/less fun

I feel like the Fight Boss has too much responsibility - that's a lot of work, monitoring, and choices to make. Should be randomized, and players should 1. hold each other accountable, and 2. abide by an honor system. Too much room for the Fight Boss to just ruin someone's day for no reason, or on accident/due to a lack of skill, and it sounds like there's going to be a lot of waiting for the Fight Boss to make the piles, trying to make interesting fights, or making them nigh impossible, etc. So much room for trolling/accidental trolling, missed calls, etc. Also, you should have called it "Silly Fencing", or "Tis but a foam wound".

I get what you're saying, but if you're waiting more than 30 seconds for a Fight Boss to sort the cards- or if a Fight Boss is acting in extremely bad faith to gain an advantage- then you should probably just play with someone else. Most people can understand silly fun for what it is, and it's not worth dealing with someone who is legitimately trying hard to win a party game.
