For magma things... I always go for double vacuum layer with double layers of insulated tiles which are obsidian on the inside and igneous rock on the outside so NOTHING goes wrong except... for time

if you want to refill any steam room with fresh water without direct exposure to heat, I drop you a recipe: all you need is to take one tile down to make diagonal access, drop a temp shift plate there made from ice, and cancel after sweeper will deliver. Ice will be added to steam soon, and you can repeat, putting any amount of fresh steam this way.

19:51 Is dupes in the magma taking a long time considered a bug? I typically see people calling the reverse (eg duplicant removing atmo suit and taking scalding damage as they have been in a hot area recently) as a bug, or is it only a bug if it goes against the players expectation?

Not dure. This episode was made a lot of updates ago. there might have been chsnges in the atmosuit plus magma behavior that i am not aware of. But i have read something about the behavior you mentioned just a few days ago. So might be something recent. I only know the behavior you see in the video (haven't dropped the dupes in magma since them).

Hey Luma Love the vids, Need to ask you a question? What specs are you running? Im running 16GB DD4, RTX 3070 and an i7 11th gen and my game is starting to lag during cycle 1000+ (im on cycle 1600 rn). Ive heard rumours having more ram may help with stability? Curious to know if that's true so I'd thought id ask you with your knowledge of this game! Ive only got 820 hours

Hi Abyssal Servers. RAM does make a noticable difference. If you have a modern Motherboard which it seems you have. Activating XMP gives you a 20% speed boost to the game. I am not knowledgable enough to know if there are any risks to that. Check out francis john pc testing for finer details. :) My Specs can be seen in the Info panel in my channel.

The Mod was called "rename asteroids". But it seems i don't have access to it in the steam workshop anymore. Maybe it got removed?

Yes it surely is got removed. Someone on Discord told me the mod name before. I searched it on workshop but there only have something like "rename critters".

Is there a way to do the magma transport bug as a downward 'spike' instead of the upward 'tower' you show in the vid? I tried having the organics enter the metal tile from the top, expecting the tower to form underneath, but it did not.

Hey hey, it always goes from the bottom to the top direction if fed in the way i have shown. You can force 1 tile below depending on the "open" (no tile) side. but after that it will also stack in top direction. But if you want to fill something to the downside you can consider dropping sand. if you have a large empty room below some heated metal tiles you could try to block the top and see if the created sand will drop down or stack on top. But i think it will also try to stack.

I don't get, why there's a sensor for steam turbines? Why disable them below steam chamber temperature reaching 125*C? I thought the steam turbine doesn't work anyway when steam chamber is below 125, right? What am I missing here?

There is a red symbol popping up that annoys me otherwise. :) If a steam turbine is below 125 you see that symbol BUT if you deactivate it it goes away.

What happens if you do this in a multiple type liquid. Say I have a triple liquid area and I try and glitch pump it to 1 tile, does it delete the other two kinds?

Very good question. I don't know. It will probably be transported but you either delete 1 of those 2 liquids or you push one of them inside the aiflow tile. Bugging it out. Have to try that.

Ok i just tested the glitch pump with multiple liquids. Multiple issues occurt: 1. most of the time 1 liquid will block the other from dropping 2. If you only have a 1 tile storage on top and it already has 1 type of liquid in it the second liquid will delete around 600kg/s of that liquid until it is completely gone. Then it will fill itself in the one tile storage. 3. If you have enough space on top and fill them in after one another they will get stored and they sort each other according to their type very cool. (tested in a 1 column storage; apperently only worked for 3 different liquids then the deletion started again and deleted 1 liquid) needs more testing

Hehe maybe the gsme took revenge. Liquid that isn't falling but is static will be deleted. That is why you can build door crusher for gases and liquid deletion but this setup with its current settings will transport/teleport liquids.
