In this Let's Play we want to: -colonize every single planetoid / asteroid or moonlet. -use lots of exploits on one side (right side) of the base while keeping the other side vanilla (left side). -the have the patrons interrupt the gameplay with random wishes for their duplicants

Every one of your videos contains a mind-blower. In this one, I realized that you used space to automatically vent any sour gas produced by your petroboiler. Such an elegantly simple solution.

i've been getting loads of great small ONI channels recommended to me lately, and i notice a lot of them have you in the comments of their recent videos. thanks for uplifting the community with your channel recommendations and interactions. the youtube ONI community has really needed a boost in small creator visibility, and i think you're playing a significant role in that.

That is really good to hear. I do like alot of the small channels they are often more unique even though there is potential for improvement (i don't know why they all film in the dark :D) Great to be part of that. And I will keep those suggestions up. :)

I tried making a petrol boiler, ended up making a sour gas boiler and just using thermium gas pumps to shove it all into my cryo freezing room

It took 1000 hours of oni watching to learn how to get flopping paku into water
@Luma_plays2 жыл бұрын
Hehe they are finnicky. They always flop toward water is what the devs say. Since the Fast friends update they flop towards water even if they are not on the screen at that moment.

Since petroleum is such mid to late game material, u should try a big space program with petroleum engines and about 3 dupes to start a colony on another planet.
@Luma_plays2 жыл бұрын
Cool Idea. I have used it for something else at the moment. But i guess i could channel off parts of the output petroleum and start a rocket program there. Like the idea!

🎶 Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming....🎶 Loving the series. I have taken a break from the game as it’s my second most played behind only Minecraft, but catching up on videos with you and Francis John is giving me the it itch to jump back in!

12:30 you should have setup the top most conveyor rail to go inside of the steamroom instead of the insulated tile - it will speed up the heat exchange process. You can still do this by moving the shutout and temperature checker 1 tile down and rearanging the rails. They won't interfere with the volcano output as it's 2 tiles down from the shutout

True. I just need an atmo suit for the dupe to go in there.

My last petrol boiler overheated and broke all the time^^ After a while I just deactivated it because all my power was generated using solar, a hydrogen vent and my industrial sauna
@Luma_plays2 жыл бұрын
They can be finicky. With every boiler you build you will become a bit better. I am almost at the point where they don't break at least once..

Hey Wade. I like to include those ideas and wishes it makes the gameplay more personal and unique. Sometimes it is just hard to inlcude in time when the base is in flames and oxygen is running low again :D

How are you supposed to "officially" deal with magma? I assume using water to turn it into stone is one (tedious) intended strategy?
@Luma_plays Жыл бұрын
Not sure there is an official way. Most people would solidify the magma as a valid way. Probably the easiest as well. Build a heat spike. Extrakt heat. Dig up solid tiles. Store in space so the hot debris dosn't ruin your storage. Other than that.. maybe compression. If you want ot go really crazy: gasify the magma.

I will not deny that i have seen that first at his videos. :) Very awesome idea from him. You can see influences of our styles in lots of videos. Recaps, summaries , transitions, text integration, music, fonts and probably more. I almost immediately integrated that coloring idea into my repertoire (so along time ago). I also like your style of refering to other sources with the quick cuts.

Can you please make a small video about nuclear reactor ? A Throttled Research Reactor or CLRR thx
@Luma_plays2 жыл бұрын
Hey :), I was trying out different designs, but i am not happy with them so far. From exploding to ineffective to recource intensive, it seems i am not knowledgeable enough to do that at the moment.

Instead of infinitely boiling water into your metal refinery, couldn't you have boiled crude oil into petroleum instead instead? This way, you could cool it down with steam turbines, or better yet, use the hot petroleum to preheat a proper petroleum boiler.
@Luma_plays2 жыл бұрын
Cool Idea. I think i tested something like that but there was an issue. You need the output pipe broken for this exploit to work. meaning you need to feed in preheated crude oil to reach the temperature you need for it to reach the turning point. YOu can't just loop it around until it is hot enough. But that could work with 2 metal refinerys!! Hmmm will test that. :D Also what do you mean with "proper" petroleum boiler? :sweat_smile:
@Tamizushi2 жыл бұрын
@@Luma_plays Haha! I just meant something like you have in this video as opposed to broken metal refineries which aren't proper petroleum boilers.
