at 37:50 that was a smoke room for curing meat. Loved the set-up that they had up in the attic. Beautifully thought out house, so BIG! I live in a 764sf house so this house is a mansion to me. Such a pity that so many things go to waste when there are people who could use them and care for them for generations to come.

I was told by my mother that when I was under the age of 8 or so that I asked her who the old lady in the rocking chair talking to me in my bedroom was? She informed me that there was no old lady and had the church come and pray over the 100 yr something home. There is a Spiritual Realm and only innocents can see sometimes.

Such a huge wonderful old house! Tells such a sad story of Mr Hubert! Why didn’t 1of his children or grandchildren take him in at the end of his life?😞 Sooo very sad to see all of the pictures abandoned 😔Those can never be replaced 😞 The wooden furniture, wardrobes & vanities were antique & worth saving or rehoming! The house is still in structurally good shape! Too bad that a family member doesn’t restore it & live in it😞 It could, however, be haunted as he lived there for sooo many years by himself 🙏 Thank you Remon & Maureno for sharing this epic property with us! I loved it ❤️

Yes, black bricks - briketten in Dutch - expensive black coal. When they were burned in the stove ash flew also up in the chimney. It didn't all go out into the air, but it fell back, not in the stove because the stovepipe was bowed, but it could fall down to the level of the basement. The small square iron doors could be opened and than you could take the ash out of it. Als very handy for the chimney sweep. You had to clear the chimney regularly to prevent chimneyfire. Sometimes you find the square iron on the attic, easier for the chimney sweep to put his ball in the chimney!

The man did so much, for so many, yet he was left alone with feelings of abandonment. I am sure he would be angry at times. Feelings like that leave "residue" behind. Wow!! That’s the first time I’ve seen you guys experiencing something weird with those noises before. Do you think it’s really haunted? Did you feel it was strange in there? Genuinely curious as I’m quite stunned to see such unexplained occurrences. Otherwise this was another great exploration. Luxembourg is an underrated destination in my opinion and I’ve only visited the country once but found it very beautiful and prosperous of course. This house in its heyday was I’m sure a cosy home and from how his lifestyle was it sounds like he was just a bit reserved and private living with this cats rather than so outgoing or social. Great job Maureno and Remon, always done with such respect and care for the history and stories of the place. Thanks again!! 😊👍👏❤️

Well good to see you both back together. Now I don't know if it was just me but that full video seemed to be rushed more than normal. That little room in the attic I think is a smoking room for smoking meats like bacon etc when farms used to harvest their own animals for themselves and possibly to sell to locals when they had their fires burning downstairs they could open a vent to allow the smoke into the room and another to vent the room. That would explain why the room was so black and sooted up,

Looks like an old dairy farm. I saw a milking machine hanging on the wall, and all the cow stalls, then those big metal sinks that are used to clean the milking machines. Not a fancy dairy, here in the USA that would be called a grade B dairy, for milk used for butter, cream and cheese. Grade A dairies are for cows that produce less fat in their milk, give you drinking milk. It's been years since I've been in the dairy business, but that's what I remember.
