Hi, an Italian here. This is one of the 15th century palaces of a branch of the Gonzaga family. One of the most important families in northern Italy. They were at the head of Mantua. In the 1700s the dynasty died out and this rural court passed to various families. The last family was that of the Giovannini Donelli. They took possession of it in 1904 and lived there until the mid-60s. After that it became their holiday residence until it was no longer used for structural reasons and lack of money. Unfortunately, the family did nothing until the matriarch, Ines Giovannini Donelli, passed away in 2005 at the age of 108. The family then put the property up for sale. As you can imagine, it is worth millions and it is not a very easy building to sell given the renovations to be carried out. In 2008, the financial crisis was therefore even more difficult and in 2012 in the nearby province there was a major earthquake in Italy which also affected the court. IN OCTOBER 2020 THE RESTORATION WORKS HAVE STARTED AND THE COURT WILL RETURN TO ITS SPLENDOR. However, I must tell you that what you are doing is ILLEGAL and DANGEROUS you have entered a private property, a historical asset and moreover uninhabitable by the earthquake. All the wrong things you could have done you have done. And to you who see these videos I can tell you that we Italians care immensely for our cultural heritage but behind every image you see and for which you are indignant there is a very complex story.

Hi guys, the item you said is for flies is actually to beat the dust out of rugs/small carpets. The picture at 23:56 was not of a battle it was of a horse race, I was born in Aylesbury where the picture is from, it is a town in the county of Buckinghamshire in the UK. Such a lovely old home full of interesting items, my favourite was that picture :). Thank you for sharing. xx

Yes, it said "Steeplechase", so I thought it was obvious. I forget that these young men were born recently and haven't acquired a lot of historical or even present day knowledge of the world. When I watch them exploring it reminds me of toddlers discovering their environment.

Awesome explore! The bottle on the kitchen table is Chianti an Italian red table wine that would be used with daily meals and Italian food such as pasta. The refrigerator is an American made brand that was manufactured in America and most likely exported to Italy. In America people can buy new Frigidaire appliances at their local home improvement store.

@26.44 have the exact same well, group of houses and palm trees - but for my family they are part of a Christmas crib (presepio) set which has been in the family for decades and come out every year for the holidays. Crazy to see them popping up here. Sad to see these old places abandoned, sometimes the cause is litigation within the family, inheritance can take years to sort out if there are any kind of underlying issues, disagreements or unresolved debts. Stumbled across your videos, you are doing a great job, very respectful. Hope you can return to italy and do more.

Hi Maureno and Remon, Explomo, Again a wonderful video from the winning team explomo! - I enjoyed watching your walk through that really big palace with these very high rooms. In one room there was such a beautiful chandelier and high up on the wall wonderful fresco. - And - yes back in the days, as you said so accurately, they did not have e-mail, whats up and so on for communicative purposes. But don't you probably agree, that they might even have had much more intelligent ways of communication by directly talking to each other or writing letters? - When I sometimes listen on my many train rides to these "conversations" people sometimes have with their smart phones, I have my doubts, if we as humans have really advanced so much in progress, when I am unwillingly forced to listen to these frequent sometimes stupid chats. - When looking at this amazing ballroom, I really think, it is a shame, that they can't preserve a place as amazing and historically interesting as this huge mansion still presents itself despite of the very evident traces of decay. - Great narration from both of you, and once more I liked how you two alternate with filming and narrating. - So stay safe and wishing you many more exciting explores. - Peace, blessings and kindest regards.

I think many of those rooms and areas have been staged by previous explorers. Such as the table set in the kitchen area and the office, the lamp probably from another room would have been near a chair as a reading or sewing light, as with the vase of tall grass, normally would have been a decoration in a corner of a room or beside a tall window. I love your videos! Many explorers I can not watch because I end up with motion sickness, your videos I am bing watching! It as nice to see nothing had been trashed or graffitti anywhere.
