I enjoy our similarities. I’ve been to 10 countries and my fav is still Costa Rica. Thanks to your videos, my new fav Fl town is Anna Maria Island. A town I’ve never even heard of before my visit. I also never thought my favorite TV viewing would be KZbin but because of folks like you, I never watch regular TV any more.

We cannot wait to get back to Costa Rica. When we first visited we had such poor equipment and video skills, but I still love looking back at the content and dreaming about returning! The decision between returning to somewhere you know you love versus exploring somewhere brand new is always a hard one though. Normally the new experience seems to win out for us, but I'm sure a Costa Rica return trip will be in our future! It's amazing how many people seem to primarily watch KZbin now. From my 6 year old nephew to my 65 year old parents... I think they all now watch KZbin as much or more than regular TV.

Philippines is great to visit and if you don't like cold Scotland and Ireland can be tough to visit haha. Thanks guys! We agree that consistency and hard work pays off, but it can still be so hard to stay motivated (and not to burn out) during the down times. We've found our channel to be very seasonal, with August through October being our worst performing months by far. So even though we knew that the downturn was coming this year, it still doesn't make it much less discouraging! Yeah, we really have been craving some good tropical hikes and will make it to the Philippines eventually. But as long as Jamie is still working full time, we'll probably be keeping our tropical travels to the Caribbean. We're just thankful that we still have so many more beautiful islands to explore that are so much closer to home!

We will definitely make a video about our experience moving to Florida someday, and also about the cost of living in St. Pete (and how it has changed from when we moved here almost three years ago). As far as best places to live and income required to live in those places, we are not experts on that as we've only lived in downtown St Pete and Sarasota, but you might be able to find some St. Pete area realtor KZbin channels which would be much more knowledgeable on that topic than we are. Really enjoy your channel! We moved to Tampa in January and my soon to be wife and I use your videos ALL THE TIME when choosing fun things to do. For real, its helped us a lot! As for one of your questions, I prefer a mixture of voice over and talking to the camera. Though we live in Tampa, my fiancé has been working in downtown St. Petersburg and with my job (home office), looks like we’ll be happily moving there about this time next year. Hey guys. I've been watching your videos since moving to St. Pete from New York 2 1/2 years ago, and have explored numerous places based on what you've shown. Surprised I haven’t run into you somewhere. A full-time freelancer, I can totally relate to Skylar's jump; working from home is amazing. It's cool that you're reaching out to your fan base. Love the pacing of your videos and how you structure them; must be hard work. Recently introduced your channel to my parents and my dad loves the speed walking! I wouldn't know what to change; maybe some interaction with the locals, quick interviews/thoughts on food/places, and maybe cover more of the local music scene (thought you guys were going to totally start jamming out in the guitar store!). Or you could use an earpiece to prompt the other and repeat funny things to café or store workers or to people in the street, like Letterman used to do. It’s up to you; you’re so informative, entertaining, and quirky. Keep up the great work!

We really would love to include more of the live music scene in our videos (we love checking out local bands), but that gets tricky with KZbin copyright/monetization rules. Someday we might just do an entire video on our favorite local bands/artists... we would just have to get their permission to use their music and would probably not be able to make any money on that video. We really appreciate the constructive feedback. We've grown a lot since we started this channel but know we have a long way to go, and feedback like this always helps. I've loved watching your videos over the last few months. I had planned to move to the Tampa Bay area a couple of years ago but, unfortunately, those plans fell through. I've been watching through them because we're going on vacation from MSP and flying into Tampa, probably going anywhere from Tarpon Springs, along the coast to St. Petersburg, and maybe Bradenton. If you had to choose just 1 brewery, 1 bakery, 1 sushi place, 1 $ to $$ restaurant, 1 $$$ restaurant, and 1 ice cream place, what would you choose? It would take a lot of consideration since we've been to so many great places, but we do have a bakery that stands out (Hellas in Tarpon) and an ice cream place (Chelsea's Cashew Creamery). There are so many good breweries and it depends on the type of beer we are in the mood for, but one that we both really like is Anecdote in Indian Rocks Beach. For nature spots, we'd recommend Emerson Point in Palmetto, the Largo botanical gardens, or one of the parks we visited in our Palm Harbor video.

Here it is a year later and you guys are pushing toward 30K. Congrats. This showed up on my feed today and was happy to watch it. Do you guys miss KC at all? The company I work for is corporate headquartered in Overland Park and has been there for years. I've visited KC many times over the years, mainly during the early 2000's and one thing that I remember is the barbecue and steaks! So many good restaurants in that area. Please tell me you guys have visited Fiorella's Jack Stack or J. Gilberts.. I am getting hungry typing this. I do miss the food there.

That's kind of surprising that this video showed up on your feed. Thanks so much for watching it! Yeah, the channel has come a long way this year. We were (over optimistically) hoping for 40k by the end of the year. It looks highly unlikely that we'll hit that, but I think it's very likely that we'll hit 50k in 2024. That will be a cool milestone. We lived in Overland Park for a while, and Skylar worked in Overland Park for 7 years. We have eaten at Jack Stack many times, and I (Skylar) ate at J. Gilberts once. I agree that both are great. We rarely even both with BBQ down here in FL anymore. KC spoiled us!

@Explorcation Yeah, so what I've noticed on KZbin.. when I subscribe to a channel and interact with it, I get suggested videos from those channels on my feed, even ones that are older. I'm not really sure how that formula works, but it seems to be consistent with every channel that I follow. Hard to beat KC and Texas BBQ! I've traveled extensively across the US, and those are the best, in my opinion. Hope to get back there to visit soon.

That is quite the Florida road trip you have planned, Billy. We do have a Madeira Beach video you can check out for ideas while there. In Tampa we love Thai Temple as well as Coppertail and Cigar City breweries. We have yet to explore St Augustine or Destin, but we hope to soon!
