3:10 I'd also recommend the Fehérvári úti Market hall in Újbuda, it is right next to the southern Terminus of Tram 4. My grandma always used to go shopping there in the early morning for fresh vegetables or other ad hoc things she needed for cooking that day.

Love your videos, they are always so helpful :) I just went to Budapest last month but I'm considering coming back for the New Year. Is it possible for you to make a video about that at one point? Because until now I haven't been able to find any useful videos about where to stay, where to eat and where to go on New Years Eve.
@StuffedCabbageAdventures11 ай бұрын
Thank you! Glad you find them useful! :) Regarding New Years eve, we'll probably won't be making a video about that any time soon. What I can tell you is that there are two kinds of people when it comes to new years: Those who either spend the eve with their friends/family, or those who go out to bars, clubs or roam the streets for fun. There will still be a lot of people in the city center :) Places like bars and restaurants don't become "better or special" for new years, so essentially, there isn't any particular place to recommend for the evening. If you wish to have a nice dinner at a restaurant, you should book a table in advance, and for some clubs and bars, there may be a queue to get in. Of course people are a bit more upbeat and energetic, so that is what really defines the new years, and not the places themselves :) Regarding where to stay, during the night, the night service buses operate, and of course it's a prime day for taxi drivers (just don't use freelancers, only use taxis via apps, like Bolt). Since it's a popular time to visit Budapest, prices for Hotels may be a bit higher, and availability may be less. I hope these notes help a bit :)

To feel the Budapest atmosphere even more, it's a good idea to take bus number 7 and visit the Market Hall at Bosnyak ter in the Zugló district. An unusual idea (for those who have a lot of time) may also be a walk through... the Kerepesi Cemetery, which is the Hungarian equivalent of Pere Lachaise in Paris. Thanks for another interesting episode. 👍 To save money on attractions or transport to grab an extra beer in the evening is the best advice one can get!

how and where I can take bus 7 please?
@StuffedCabbageAdventures9 ай бұрын
Bus 7 is a major line going through most of Budapest all the way from the outskirts in Pest and Down in Buda, through the center of the city stopping at Keleti railway station, Blaha Lujza square and Astoria. Sitting through the whole line is like getting a crash course in Budapest from the Panel Buildings from Socialist times, through the peaceful suburbs with houses and gardens, through the city center with older and more crumbling buildings but also the refurbished areas too.

Hey there! Unfortunately I am not too familiar with hostels and hotels near Puskás Stadium, but I would say try to look for one on the northern side of Kerepesi road (running on the south side of the stadium) that area is more convenient, south of the road there is a large historic cemetery and lots of train tracks 😊 Budapest is generally safe, so you should be fine if you remain on the northern side of the road I mentioned 😊

Hey there, I believe you found the Zsigmondy Clubcard. I believe this is mainly aimed at locals as I could not find any english page on the Budapest Thermal Spa associations website, only Hungarian. You need to have a local address in order to fill out a form, and getting the card is 5,000 HUF then once per day you can go to a thermal bath and be there for 4 hours for a total of 4,000 HUF per visit. If you search the hungarian version of budapestgyogyfurdoi.hu website for ZSIGMONDY KLUBKÁRTYA you can find the page and use google translates page translator to get the information you need. The form is a pdf also in Hungarian... I know it's a bit tedious :( I hope this is the one you were looking for and the info is helpful.

Szia Akos! I visited Budapest twice long ago (1996 and 2001) and found very affordable food at little stand up places to eat called, I think, "Buffe". They had lots of open faced sandwiches, whole fried fish on sticks, small salads, etc. Do those still exist in Budapest or are they all long gone? Your videos are great and keep making them and I am sure more followers will come!

There are still a few Büfé style places but not too many in the center, few in some markets, indeed those are also a cheap alternative but have less local flavours, more like standard stuff, however I do enjoy a schnitzel sandwich from Büfés sometimes 😊

Hey there! Szentendre is generally a nice place to visit all year. Hiking in the Buda Mountains can be fun, going to Visegrad castle is also a good idea. Or going to Hollókő where besides enjoying the nice traditional village you can also hike some in the nearby mountains :) (although it's the furthest from all options.)

I have some questions and desperately need your help: 1. When is the Budapest Card validated? (since I received the card, or since I paid?) Because I will stay in Budapest for approximately 48 hours 2. Do I have to validate Budapest Card every time get on a bus/tram/metro? 3. In some places in Europe, 24-hour tickets expire at 3:00 a.m., is that the case with the Budapest Card?
@StuffedCabbageAdventures3 ай бұрын
Hey there! I think the brochure for the Budapest card on its website is pretty comprehensive :) www.budapestinfo.hu/en/budapest-card-guide You need to enter a starting validity date and time on the back of the card itself. From that point on it will be valid until the hours you purchased it for expire. There is no need to validate the card on each ride, just show the card upon inspection or on Front Boarding only vehicles. I hope this helps and if you check out the official website perhaps any other questions you may have will get answered too :) Have a lovely stay in Budapest!
