I've also been to Shanghai in China. I am Western Canadian. I loved every minute of it and would go back in a heartbeat,it is the most beautiful country. The malls there were exceptional as well as the nightlife and the people were so beautiful and friendly. I would actually live there and I told that to my husband who is also Canadian and he would go there in a heartbeat as well. I don't understand why anyone would not want to see this real life. Extraordinary . This is just one mall. China is seriously one of the most ecological diverse and tech friendly/tech advanced at the same time.

I think I saw somewhere that some of the plaza's LED light displays are only active at certain times, don't know if this is accurate or not. Safest bet is to go at night, especially the weekend for full experience.
